My mate waited at Gawthorpe and got his picture taken with a lot of the burnley team today.
He said he asked Brownhill where the Cadiz match was being played and he said he thinks it's near murcia.
Forest and Sunderland have played a friendly at Pinatar Arena in Murcia so could be there?

Think of Alkmaar as a cryptic clue for the goal scorer

I'd also add I'm told Trafford is off, more or less said himself.
But I think we all knew that and would take money

Yeah we know Beyer / Al-Dakhil / Redmond were all dealing with injuries at the back end of last season so perhaps being cautious there. Ramsey obv longer term. Ekdal picked up something with Sweden didn’t he? Do we know what Tresor is up to? Surely he can’t not be training.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2024 9:10 pmSome notable players not pictured

Re: Friendlies
Ekdal was stretchered off playing for Sweden so he wouldn’t be playing and Ramsey is a long way. Not sure on the fitness of the first three you mentioned but none of them have played for some time. Has Trésor actually turned up?RVclaret wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2024 9:13 pmYeah we know Beyer / Al-Dakhil / Redmond were all dealing with injuries at the back end of last season so perhaps being cautious there. Re: Friendlies
That’s the question isn’t it, sounds like he didn’t turn up when he was supposed to, but that was weeks ago now! If anything he needs to get fit if he wants a new club.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2024 9:22 pmEkdal was stretchered off playing for Sweden so he wouldn’t be playing and Ramsey is a long way. I always had the impression he never really wanted to be here and nothing happened last season to change that given his lack of game time.

100% didn’t want to be here, linked with him all summer and signed him on deadline day, he clearly waited to see if better offers came in.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2024 9:30 pmI always had the impression he never really wanted to be here and nothing happened last season to change that given his lack of game time.
Why the money spent on him wasn’t just sent to saints for tella is crazy. I remember at the time saying number of assists can be a false stat. Barnes had 2 assists first 2 games of 22-23 season for 2 miss controls of the ball

I'd be happy if neither WW or MT showed up at all.
Some money back for 2 players who will never be a fit for BFC.

Why do I need to quote? Keep going cool. So sad.
Re: Friendlies
Was told very much the same- Tresor keeps himself to himself, doesn’t speak to many if any people when at training, and doesn’t integrate socially either.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2024 9:30 pmI always had the impression he never really wanted to be here and nothing happened last season to change that given his lack of game time.
Re: Friendlies
And not that I read too much into these things, but mentioned on Twitter tonight that Tresor has unfollowed the club on socials.
Re: Friendlies
So who was responsible for signing Tresor then? I.e. who thought we should have him, that much?
It seems that we signed anything that moved. Was there a %for everyone signing going to someone?
Lots of money frittered randomly.

Egan Riley is a strange one, when we signed him, city fans couldn’t believe he was being let go when he was captain of u23s but then we don’t know his best position, rb, cb or cdm

Perhaps a late bloomer? Still only 21 but has played so little professional football. Let’s hope he has a breakthrough123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 9:14 amHard to tell, but from the clips looked like he could have been playing left cb with pires at left back.

Re: Friendlies
It was 2, simultaneous 75 minute games, looks like Waller was in goal, Egan Riley lcb, pires lb, koleosho and zaroury LW.

Re: Friendlies
With a new manager in place, it would not surprise me if several of our existing fringe players, emerge as strong first team players-where the current manager sees certain qualities in them, and can motivate them and bring out their true potential. It could be someone like Egan Riley, or Messengo. Surely that's part of what management is about. In the early years of Dyche he was very good at bringing on players like Vokes, Heaton and Arfield

When you take a look at Egan Riley's pedigree it's second to none.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 9:14 amHard to tell, but from the clips looked like he could have been playing left cb with pires at left back.

He has represented England at every age group from U15 - U19.
His career stalled two years ago with him barely making an appearance for us. He's still only 21. I can't help but suspect there's something more in his tank, something we can hopefully coax out of him.
I saw him at Shrewsbury in the League Cup where he played centreback and he looked very assured.
Here's hoping he can progress.

Re: Friendlies
My mate went down to the path that leads to the training ground and asked players if he could have a picture with them and chatted to them. He got his picture with parker and about 15 players. Brownhill being one who he said was driving a lamborghini.
He asked him where the Cadiz match was being played and he said he thought it was somewhere near Murcia.
That's as much as I know
