I'm NOT just TALKING about THIS thread.

Given Benson does basically no tracking back, I'm not sure your argument holds up. Amdouni's quality is clear for everyone to see. If you aren't playing him because of his off the ball work, then surely you aren't playing Benson either...
I take your point but Benson not tracking back but I'm not just refering to tracking back when I talk about application. The season in the championship wasn't as much of a big deal because we dominated the ball and Cullen was great at getting about to fill in holes.
It's on record that Benny was getting kicked all over in training to prep himself for what it would be like for him and he met it head on. Many teams tried kicking him out of the game but he wanted the ball and kept coming back for more.
I can't say the same for Amdouni. Head drops easily, jogging about unenthusiastically. Undeniable glimpses of some talent for sure but also an undeniable feeling that he was half assing it. For want of a better word the lad is an absolute fanny. He would, could and perhaps should be our best player even ahead of Berge if he sorted that side of his game out.

This team absolutely pisses the league even if we sold a couple of them (Trafford and Berge) and replaced with others in the squad.
Trafford
Sambo Beyer O’Shea Pires
Cullen Berge
Koleosho Amdouni Odobert
Foster

Just to mix in a little 523
..........Hladky
Sambo.. Beyer.. O'Shea.. Esteve.. Pires
........Cullen.....Massengo
Odobert..Hountondji..Koleosho
(Don't think Berge will be here hence not in the team)
If we're going 433 though there's a 22 that should do alright

Sambo / Robert... Beyer / O'Shea... Esteve / McNally... Pires / Dodgson
.... Cullen / Massengo
..... Berge / Ramsey.... Brownhill / JBG
Odobert / Benson.... Houts / Jay Rod.... Koleosho / Zaroury

It’s really difficult, because as it stands, we’re still overloaded with centre halves and wingers. Seeing as I haven’t seen the new incomings play yet:
Trafford
Roberts, O’Shea, Beyer, Vitinho
Benson, Cullen, Berge, JBG
Amdouni, Foster
