Will there be streams of games where we aren’t on the sky stream? Last time we were able to get them on ifollow so watched practically every game.
In the original link to Sky's announcement it said 'iFollow and club streams will cease to offer coverage of EFL matches in the UK & Ireland at the end of this season. Instead, all televised matches will be live on Sky Sports via Sky and streaming service NOW each season. All 72 teams will be featured over 20 times a season on Sky Sports.'

I emailed the club about this and they replied:
I have been informed by our media and communications teams that there will be announcements coming out very soon surrounding how to watch our EFL Championship matches for this upcoming season.
You can expect these announcements via our social platforms and through your email.
Looking at other clubs who use their own steaming platforms rather than iFollow, they appear to be charging in the region of £180 for the season.
Thanks for this. Looks like there will be a stream then. If it came to it I’d just pay the £180

So does that mean there will still be a steam for every game, and that’s replacing ifollow, plus 20 games on sky sports, or does it mean that there won’t be streams and just the 20 games? It’s unclear.

I should have added that the club's stream are for overseas subscribers only (although using a vpn will get around this) - they will only stream a game if it is not being broadcast locally.

It’s a bit like the debate between car drivers and cyclists. Both need to be accommodated. And it’s all very well those who go to the games moaning. Having the time, money and ability to get tickets is a privilege some don’t have.
But ultimately - lets remember what is fundamentally paying the bills.

As an aside to this, if you are a virgin media subscriber, you will likely need the 360 software update on your box.

I’m abroad for the first two games. Should be fine to find a bar for the first one, but will I be able to pay a one off fee to watch the Cardiff home game on my phone?

There won't be streams from Sky of every Burnley match. Looking at the fixtures up to Jan 4th on this site 8 matches are streamed on Sky Sports + and 9 are shown on TV on a Sky Sports channel. 9 are not shown at all on Sky. Whether the club show them I don't know. All League Cup games are also being shown, most presumably streamed.

I was told you will. My TIVO box is being replaced. I understand that the 6 box, whatever that is, can be updated with software but you need a new remote to do this.

It's great news that the fixtures will be set in stone up until January.
We were on the box 33 times in the championship last time out, it's only ever going one way with the amount of games being televised unfortunately. Especially as clubs get greedier.
According to my records we were on 21 times including the red button games
