Looked a very very disjointed team first half and pretty clueless. I know it's hot but there's just no cohesion.
Hope 2nd half improves.

Much much better second half, and not just for the goal. Sustained control and playing through midfield much better. It Is What It Is wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2024 6:51 pmLooked a very very disjointed team first half and pretty clueless. I know it's hot but there's just no cohesion.

Is Odobert now playing Cm?
Re: Cadiz v Burnley Sun 4th August
Bizarre that Roberts got a start ahead of Sambo. Surely he won’t be our number 1 right back?

I think we should have an "who can overreact the most to a friendly in baking sunshine competition "
I'll start
Blimey if we draw Man City in the cup and play like this they'll score at least ten"

Re: Cadiz v Burnley Sun 4th August
Very small sample size so will hold my full judgement but I’m not a fan of this new goalkeeper. He’s like Pope with his feet without the shot stopping ability.

I feel like people have forgot that Roberts is a very good right back in the championship. I feel like players like him who know the league are vital to our promotion chances this season. Hopefully both can make a significant contribution.

If we’re going to assess individual performances, I think Brownhill has had a good game, for what it’s worth.

Other than the rubbish set piece goal I think we've been the better side. I'm more encourage than discouraged by this second half so far

Also it's worth remembering guys that even during the season where there are quite a few subs, or it's a cup game with a few changes, then the game is usually a disjointed affair. Main things to look out for is the condition the players are in.

Has he had a shot to save yet? Conceded to a near post header but has collected whatever else has come his way. Not really been tested at all, tbf.

Re: Cadiz v Burnley Sun 4th August
I mean that’s fair on the shot stopping front. I just assumed he wouldn’t be as good as arguably the best shot stopper we’ve ever had. It’s the footwork I’m more concerned about but as I said it is early days.
Re: Cadiz v Burnley Sun 4th August
Not playing in Cadiz. Playing in Arcos de la frontera . 34° at half time.CoolClaret wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2024 6:44 pmThis is the weather in Cadiz right now
That is hard to play in and naturally the players will slow it down a bit... won't be like that against Luton I guarantee.
Great finish Lyle!

I wonder what conclusions we can draw to Twine and McNally not getting a kick this far?

Aren't Twine and McNally involved in the transfer swap for Conway?
