Re: Team for Luton?
I hope Ashley B throws in a sickie on 31 Aug so he can come to the Turf and bang like ...k on them lots dressing room door then give a motivation speech to our lads before kick off.
AB truly knew what this derby game is about...the oldest rivalry in world football...Nathan T knew as well to be fair.

I think starting both Hladky and Greene is going a bit too defensive.

If Weghorst appears I will streak down Brunshaw carrying a Bastards flag before the Cardiff game.

Re: Team for Luton?
It appears Amdouni has not travelled with the match day squad.
So we can rule him out from the starting eleven

Cullen Brownhill
Koleosho Amdouni Odobert

Re: Team for Luton?
From SP’s press conference, Koleosho may not be fully fit, despite having played in Cadiz.

Total guess
Hladky
Vitinho O’Shea Esteve Pires
Koleoshu Brownhill Cullen Odobert
Amdouni
Foster
Subs. Greene Roberts AD JBG Zaroury Benson J Rod Houtondji Berge

Re: Team for Luton?
Impossible, only 5 homegrown out of 7 required in the squad. Also Amdouni is not in the squad given he’s just posted a picture in the training ground.

Ok so Houtondji for Amdouni and bring in a couple of home grown on bench replacing Amdouni and Another non homegrown
Re: Team for Luton?
Whatever happened to the idea of playing your best players?
Why isn't Berge starting since he hasn't been sold yet?

Re: Team for Luton?
From what I can gather Berge is very much out the door already (not physically), so I don’t think there’s much to gain from playing someone that isn’t going to part of the plan. Not sure it sends the right signal to the other lads either if Parker were to play him.
Re: Team for Luton?
Wouldn't he give us a better chance of winning though?Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 2:31 pmFrom what I can gather Berge is very much out the door already (not physically), so I don’t think there’s much to gain from playing someone that isn’t going to part of the plan. Re: Team for Luton?
If what's been stated on this thread is true then I'll guess at:
Hladky
Vitinho O'Shea Esteve Pires
Cullen Brownhill
Benson Odobert Zaroury
Foster
If Koleosho is fit he replaces Benson in that squad.
Subs: Greene Roberts Al-Dakhil JBG Jay Hount Massengo + RVClaret's pick1 RVClaret's pick2
Hladky
Vitinho O'Shea Esteve Pires
Cullen Brownhill
Benson Odobert Zaroury
Foster
If Koleosho is fit he replaces Benson in that squad.

Can somebody start the match thread. We can get all the negatives out of the way well before kickoff.

I'd bloody love it if Weghorst started. Weggy firing the clarets to promotion would be just brilliant.

See, anyone else posts that and I have a little laugh.
You post it and I’m now thinking I’m in a hole

Joking aside…for all of his justified criticism at Premier League level, I would love to see what he could do in this division for us if he’s genuinely up for it.

He’s travelled. Trained for the last week. Wouldn’t expect him to start but could make the bench, unless he’s gone as extra man.

Interesting taken Weghorst and not Amdouni, who has been in training a bit longer.LongsideClaret wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 5:16 pmHe’s travelled. Trained for the last week. Wouldn’t expect him to start but could make the bench, unless he’s gone as extra man.

If Berge's fit and happy to play, he has to start. Nine points available before the window shuts.

If Weghorst plays it is absolutely vital the fans get behind him.

I’m certainly not one of those “ITK” people. I just had a hunch he might be used - either to put himself more in the shop window or because SP, a better man-manager than VK, had convinced him that it’s in his own interest to put something in before leaving.
