Best ever Burnley goal
I know there are plenty to choose from, but for me, for sentimental purposes, its got to be Ian Britton v Orient.

The one that immediately springs to my mind is Steven Defour's in the cup against Bristol City.

My fav Glen Little vs Bristol Rovers. Top of table clash, down to ten men, late in the game.

Ashley Hoskins at Swansea a beacon of light and hope in the dark dark days. Bearing in mind the pitch and crudity of division 4 defenders, it was amazing.

Re: Best ever Burnley goal
In the running for best game too.
If you're taking all context out of it, then objectively Blake's goal at Ewood in 2009 is the best. Because we lost to Blackburn, it's best forgotten but a sweeping counter attack the length of the pitch and a thunderous swerving shot into the corner, it's easily the best goal we never discuss.

Re: Best ever Burnley goal
Cummings V Newcastle 51-52 season-his account below. My Dad wouldnt take me as I had a bad cold (I was 8) but he went and described the goal very much as TC below. TC was very quick in those days and his was a box to box goal. Never saw it but for an individual goal from his defence to goal was some effort. We won 2-1 and his goal was near the end of the game
"I'd nicked the ball away from Jackie Milburn in our own box and, as I had a bit of pace, I got away from the players nearest to me," explained Cummings.
"I went over the half way line always looking for a pass, but nothing was on and so I kept on going.
"I remember going past their skipper Joe Harvey, twice, so maybe I wasn't as quick as I thought I was or it was just that he was very determined to stop me.
"Anyway, I arrived just outside their 18 yard box and decided to let fly. I hit sweetly with my weaker left foot but it screamed into the net. It proved to be the winner".
A picture of the goal hangs proudly in the Cummings hallway and whenever visitors arrive at the door step, they have their own reminiscences of that famous day.
"We had a very good side then but only had a small squad of about 15 players," said Cummings.
"No rotation in those days, if you were fit then you would play.

Re: Best ever Burnley goal
Too many to pick from but in recent years I think Ashley Barnes against Wigan (I think) to seal promotion to the premier league, the goal at Everton where we showed the premier league that we could play football, all three in the away win at Chelsea were pretty good and Brownhill’s goal on Saturday was a fantastic show of slick passing and movement.

Jay's at Old Trafford wasn't bad. Ian Brennan at Liverpool. I once saw an interview with Ray Clemence and he said that was the best goal scored against him. Who scored the cracker at Stoke (I think it was Stoke) from the wing?

Favourite (but not best) was Jay against Preston in 2010, 94th minute winner.
After having to sit and listen to a group of Kn08 Enders in the hospitality giving it large for a lot of the game, it was satisfying enough when Big Chris put us level. But the feeling when that 4th went in was fantastic. Needless to say, it shut them up.

The way it flew into the top corner was pure brilliance and really set the tone for an incredible away game
