Dortmund match tickets
Dortmund match tickets
I'm thinking of taking my son to dortmund for a game in the autumn as it's his 18th.
Looks like tickets through the official website never come on sale - even resale to non members is coming up blank.
Any recommendations of which sites are best - they will need to be 2x seats together.
Dortmund do offer tourist packages ('adrenaline tickets') so that may be the answer....

Re: Dortmund match tickets
Really helpful.
Depends who they are playing. I bought official tickets from them back in 2020 for a game vs Freiburg. They can reach general sale but it’s usually a certain amount of time before the games if I remember rightly. If they were playing Bayern or Leverkusen etc you will probably struggle.
If you get lucky, you could potentially do 3 games in one weekend given the amount of teams that play within that area. We did Bochum and Düsseldorf same weekend.

Also just to add, we got 3 tickets for it and two were together with one being a few rows behind.

Re: Dortmund match tickets
If they're playing a smaller team or one who doesn't travel well it might be worth trying to get tickets in the away end. I'm looking at going in Feb and that's my best plan currently!

If you have Facebook, join a group called European football weekends. There’s loads of helpful tips in there.

Caveat - this is not an endorsement or a guaranteed route to get a ticket, though it worked for us.
Hi Matt travelled to Munich with a group of friends in 2018 with the intention of going to see a match. Tried everywhere in Munich to get Bayern tickets, but were told by all no chance, even a lady at who worked at our hotel made several calls to no avail.
One of the lads went on Viagoo and secured tickets at €40 each. We were sceptical, but thought we'd give the QR codes a do. So we travelled out of the city, and what do you know....all 5 tickets worked.
It worked for us, however, I am not completely sure how the platform works with regards to illegitimate tickets. Ours worked and we thoroughly enjoyed watching Bayern beat Frankfurt (I think) 5-1.

I went to a champions league game there last year and got tickets from stub hub.ie - all legit. Was a brilliant experience & think we are going again this year.

Re: Dortmund match tickets
A long time ago now but I watched them in Hamburg. Was in the home end but they mobbed the place out and the entire end was Dortmund. Both sets of fans were class and the atmosphere excellent. Tickets were bought direct from HSV. There were travel firms specialising in providing trips to European football.

I've used Viagogo a few times when I've been to other games abroad. Paid over face value but never had any problems.

Re: Dortmund match tickets
Bought tickets on their official site for a home game v Freiburg in 2018. As I remember I had to register on there and then wait for the general sale ie after all the members had had first dibs . Logged on just before this started at 9am and there were , I would say, only around 500 tickets still available scattered around the stadium.

Re: Dortmund match tickets
Matt, went back in 2014 to watch them play mainz there were 3 of us and we used viagogo as it was just impossible to buy through the club. We paid over the odds but was totally worth it and we had no issues at all. We stopped in dusseldorf and if you have a match ticket you get free train travel to the ground or at least that was a thing when we were there. Hope that helps

Having a match ticket for any Bundesliga game gets you free public transport travel bus or trainkoskiclaret wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 8:14 amMatt, went back in 2014 to watch them play mainz there were 3 of us and we used viagogo as it was just impossible to buy through the club. Re: Dortmund match tickets
Bundesliga tickets for most teams are ridiculous to get hold of. I'm a member at Eintracht Frankfurt, which gives priority on resale tickets and even then they are like rocking horse Scheiße.
Best bet is looking at the forums suggested above, and try and pick a game against someone like Heidenheim or Holstein Keil who have a much smaller support.

Re: Dortmund match tickets
Right forum. You're absolutely right. I've seen people asking about getting tickets for a stack of clubs (pretty sure Dortmund has come up).
I personally can't help you but people will. Dortmund is a toughie as they sell out usually but there are ways and means.
I hope you find a way.

I took my son to both dortmund and Barca matches using a specialist holiday company who organised flights hotel and tickets , unfortunately I think they went under during Covid but I would recommend investigating that type of thing

Thanks all - very much appreciate the advice.
Will try and book something this evening to bring me out of my bad mood that started when comparing the bench v luton to the one today!
