I've not said what the reason was, just replying to someone who would prefer to stick with Benson and Zaroury. I would agree had they both continued their form from certain times in the championship season, but for whatever the reason they didn't, and that's where we are at.

To be fair you have to actually play to be able to continue any sort of form.

Granted Zaroury didn't pull up any trees on loan but whilst I can accept people saying Benson isn't a 90 minute man I think anyone who has watched him play for us knows he's a match winner at this level.

If we sell Koleosho now after all these sales we really must be up sh*ts creek. It looks like we are in a considerably worse position than when ALK took us over and looks like complete mis management. If we have a bench or team like at Sunderland ( or worse) it could get very unpleasant on Saturday if we lose.

That would only make sense if they were all signing for Bayern Munich. No-one is going to leave Burnley to go to Ipswich or Plymouth or Wolves just because they want to be managed by Kompany.

These are being brought into replace players already left or known to be leaving, that doesn't include Koleosho, but does include Zaroury and Benson.

Maybe some of those coming in are to try and also find a solution to the 7 homegrown issues that RV rightly advises on. And maybe that was why the bench/selection was in the state it was Saturday, with players advising they don't want to be here anymore etc. A lot of if's, buts and maybe's but was there enough in the squad for those who did want to be here to field a stronger 11? Probably reaching, but just trying to understand the impact of the situation of players not wanting to play for us and move on, and then the 7 player rule.
