Could alot of this be because somebody at the club did a fantastic job when signing most of these players ? Nobody though pre season last year we were going to get relegated - some on here were even talking top 10 !!!!!
Maybe the VK factor played into the hands of the guy doing the contracts and he negotiated fantastic wage reductions if relegated - low and behold here we are.
No home grown players with any affinity to burnley having to play for wages ?? 20-25% less - their agents getting 20-25% less if on a monthly cut - VK jumps ship - looks to me now inevitable reactions from merchandaries.

This is my main issue, I am not overly fussed about players leaving if they don't want to be here, but these players need replacing and it is worrying no links are happening.

Once agreed lots of solicitors, agents etc involved
Probably bits I've missed, but 4 to 5 weeks wouldn't be abnormal

Think it’s time someone with a bit of back bone and some balls whether that be board member, manager or senior player, sit everyone down and tell them in no uncertain terms they signed a contract with this club, the club dictates whether you go or not simple as that and if you don’t go you’ll play. In my opinion if they are asking to leave the same week as the biggest game of our season on Saturday I wouldn’t want them anywhere near the team to be honest, shows exactly what they think of the club and the fans but we can’t let everyone go as it is to late to replace.

No offence mate. But thats an oxymoron. You cant sit them down and say ‘you signed a contract - you’re stayin’’ but at the same time want them nowhere near the club

I think it’s probably wiser to ignore unsubstantiated rumours about Scott Parker storming out, personally.

I agree. I'm as concerned as anybody about what's happening but when Dyche got sacked we had people saying he'd either smashed up a pub with Duncan Ferguson, punched Weghorst, or throttled Cornet.
Until & unless Parker is another absentee tomorrow, wouldn't pay it any mind.

That was always my fear. I am certain his agent will be networking right now on his behalf. We seem to be as soft as the proverbial, being dictated to by our players and other clubs
