Not sure if this has anything to do with players wanting to leave the club...
What if the report was produced for Alan, and he is using the information to get rid of the players it recommended?

Clearly didn't make it to any agents, or they wouldn't be signing these players for over inflated prices.

It does get to the point where its so farcical you have to.
I've spent a week being serious peed off, it's gone past that now. It's just ludicrous and must be a joke.

I have a mate who’s wife had an affair, so he gave her an ultimatum. She left. Within 6 weeks, every trace of her was removed from the house (even though they had 2 kids). I think Alan is purging VK from Burnley. At least he’s making money doing it
Only difference being that I think Alan loved VK more than your mate loved his wife! PS, thinking of you Roper, all the best mate.

Parker isn’t going to walk is he, he must of known something major was happening before taking the job
There is no way Parker knew this was transpiring, not to this extent.

He spoke of the work being done in Spain and building a culture. He spoke of this being Lyle’s season and that he could be a huge player for us.
We all saw how ‘together’ we all were against Luton, manager, players and fans. Cardiff too, performance worse but regardless, all good.

Something huge has transpired between Cardiff and Sunderland, and then carried on into this week. It cannot be as simple as “we need money in, now”, it’s something more…pernicious.

Well, people have questioned Parker as a manager. We will find out now how good he actually is, or isn't.
Guardiola wouldn’t be able to build a promotion winning side in 3 days. Parker doesn’t stand a chance.

£25m??? You just can’t turn down offers like that. How many games did he play last season? Muric, O’Shea and now Foster, that’s £50m to Burnley, Ipswich fans must be despondent

We are getting ridiculous fees for players who showed little last year. However our biggest challenge is cash flow and Amdouini & Foster are both season long loans, so how do we fund replacements

I've no idea but the only one I was definitely expecting to go was Foster as I got told from a player who is a personal friend he only wanted to play for Kompany...I suppose ultimately he was correct..
Kompany or Keiran McKenna, presumably?

Alan will do his parlour trick of taking loans out (with interest) against the incoming fees (ala Chris Wood). That way we get ‘money’ up front, but presumably end up with less due to paying a bit of interest and so on….

Footballs come a long way.

For a lad to be courageous enough to mention his mental health struggles to the public, and for that to not preclude a team bidding 25m for him is big news. Time was, if you mentioned mental health struggles you'd be looked upon as if you'd just had a major knee reconstruction.

I'd say this is a good deal for us. He's been with us 18 months and we're still talking about him showing potential. Say what you like about Benny and Anass but over the course of one season, in general, they were there, doing it - directly winning us points and contributing effectively most weeks. I've yet to see that same level of influence from Foster consistently.

I also don't think he's a number 9 and his career might end up taking him down a different path. His best asset for me is that he can carry the ball strongly, directly and quickly ala Luton. Think he would benefit from an extended run on the left of a front three or either side of the striker in a 4-2-3-1.

The key here is will we reinvest it. If we do it's fabulous deal.

Maybe, the last few days have been a bit of a blur!

I think most are becoming a bit despondent now, there’s certainly less throwing around of the phrase ‘bed wetter’.

Tell you what, football is f*cking mental.

Could you imagine 20 years ago a team going down in embarassing fashion would have their manager poached, and transfers for profit on all their players?

Get the frigging data-obsessed nutters out of the game holy sh1t.
Kind of puts your wild claims to bed eh, about how we signed a bunch of shite.

Of course it's not normal but don't worry, GetIntoEm, Stockbrokerbelt and Row x will be along soon to insist that yes it is, nothing to see here.

I'm almost starting to feel like someone is trying to short a football club.

I've been trying to stay optimistic and hope there was a plan at work behind the scenes, but I cannot fathom how we can come back from this before the transfer window closes now. Especially if Amdouni and Foster leaving is confirmed. What a mess.

Can’t understand the loan thing

Well let's be honest, it sounds like the guy who sent the WhatsApp is bang on - we signed a set of overpaid, undertalented pr**ks, who generally weren't good enough for the premier league. Now if you don't want to be here, off you f*** and let's use the last 3 days of the window to sign some players who want to play for our great club.

I wonder why Sean Dyche was so insistent on ensuring the players he signed had the right attitude?!

I wouldn't have him do any media this week tbh. Close out the noise. We're all behind you, Scott!

They were trying to get Broja from Chelsea and, rumoured second choice was Denkey from Cercle Brugge who scored 23 goals in 28 games last season. Sell them Foster and go for Denkey :) .

All I keep thinking about during this giant mess is the number of guys in suits that appear in Mission 2 wearing suits, and talking as if they have never watched an English football game. THe size of the in house team is immense. Our club is in a serious mess. Bring back Clive Holt, at least his faxes went to the right people

I was dead against retaining Jay over the summer, felt he was past Championship level.

At this point, it's looking like that was the best bit of business we did. Probably the only one we can trust will still be here come Saturday.

They were trying to get Broja from Chelsea and, rumoured second choice was Denkey from Cercle Brugge who scored 23 goals in 28 games last season. Sell them Foster and go for Denkey :) .
Would be quite happy for nothing from the Belgium league to come to Burnley football club ever again if I’m honest

It’s just business. Do you not get it? Buy low sell high. It’s a 7 year project. Do you complain when you go into Tesco’s and your favourite checkout operator has left etc etc etc
It’s not normal

First transfer deadline day in ages I’m actually looking forward to now.

When we were flogging more than a few, I didn’t think there’d be any incomings. But now? Surely?!

Will Ipswich still have to buy him if they are relegated?

Genuine question. Can we recall obafemi? We need strikers.
