I have a mate who’s wife had an affair, so he gave her an ultimatum. She left. Within 6 weeks, every trace of her was removed from the house (even though they had 2 kids). I think Alan is purging VK from Burnley. At least he’s making money doing it
Had exactly that image, a jilted Allen chucking out every last reminder of his "Prettiest girl in town"
What a shitshow.

Everyone saying about the fees we are receiving, double money, great profit etc….. the problem is the club won’t profit from any of it. It will go towards paying off loans or interest on loans and the rest will go to ALK who’ve used Burnley FCs money to purchase the club in the first place. I don’t always agree with Simon Jordan but he speaks his mind and when the takeover happened he called it for what it was. It’s a shambles and dangerous towards our club.
Exactly it's not really going towards the betterment of BFC the moneys getting thrown into a big black hole. Simon Jordan might have made mistakes in the past but he's learnt from it he's a clever bloke. Like he said everything's fine at first but the model invites problems later down the line we are starting to see that now.

Thanks for nothing Lyle makes his rant at corky look false now! He threw the towel in refusing to play the idiot! Good riddance! See you back in the championship next year he won’t get a warm welcome from me.

And whilst all this is happening Alan and his mates are, I believe, getting paid very good salaries by the club

Link to Ipswich Town forum news thingy.
'Now, according to Italian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the Blues and Clarets are discussing the season-long loan of Foster, a deal which it’s claimed would include an obligation to buy for £25 million next summer, assuming Town stay up.'
https://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-new ... ster-talks
"Assuming" doing a lot of the heavy lifting there, and inserted into Sacha's tweet. Nowhere does he say assuming. You can understand which an Ipswich supporter would insert "assuming" but it is not what is quoted by Sacha.

Foster trained on Tuesday, that’s not to say he isn’t off, but he definitely trained with those expected to be involved against Wolves.
Not according to LC, who has been on point with everything so far.

It’ll be interesting to see if Muric, O’Shea and Foster are prepared to play in the championship with Ipswich next season. Suspect they’ll lose their manager as well.

Ah **** off.
Yesterday afternoon he didn't want to go back to Brazil.
I'm going to stick my neck out and say- this no longer looks to me like it's driven by the players or even the Academy fiasco. This looks like ALK wanting to flog everything that isn't tied down for whatever reason, and the "so-and-so wants out" is PR shite.

The trouble is some sad sacks actually believe him, they then post it on twitter and it's seen as fact, giving rovers fans all the encouragement they need going into Saturday (which is probably his intention)
Just ignore

I’m certainly ignoring, just recognising a blatant wind up merchant from down the road who joined the board yesterday. Fair play that he’s got some nibbles.

Ah yes, joined yesterday evening, whilst looking at a poster of Tugay he still has on his bed room wall.
First Post - Parker left.
Second Post - players told not to turn up.
I suspect he's not really a Claret.

Surely we can’t be agreeing to any ‘if Ipswich stay up’ clause? I’d rather Lyle trains on his own all season than loan him for zero reward.

I'd be delighted if we can get that kind of money for Foster. It's silly money for a striker who doesn't score goals. The concern of course is how we're going to replace all of these departures because we're giving ourselves a lot of work to do with very little time left.

If he really doesn't want to play for us, just sell him permanently for what we bought him for

BBC gossip page on the Red button last week had a story about Vitinho going to Brazil. Yesterday it was Trafford going to Newcastle on loan. Today it's Weghorst "is set to join Ajax after reaching personal terms".
Paces revolving door just keep on spinning.

The guys absolutely cack, he’s going to Ipswich not Benfica. Good riddance, he can’t even be arsed getting into peak physical condition.
A complete cart horse who’s had 4 good games in 18 months.
At least with him going we can all stop pretending he’s good
I agree to be honest, he had a good spell last season which was short lived.
He's offered nothing since and I don't see what he offers anymore, £25 million in July we'd all be laughing saying sell him but we're that desperate now it comes across a bad deal.
He got a lot of praise for his rant on mission to Burnley but sounded like a pop at the fans too to me and he shouldn't be having a pop when he'd missed half a season

6 goals. 25 million? For a lad who missed a lot of games last season through depression. Take the money and run Alan. Trouble is if it's a loan and Ipswich get relegated we get nothing and if Foster has added say 3 more goals he's not going to be worth much at the end of the season. Also that gives us no money to reinvest in the squad or repay debt this season. I know we're still over the 25 but we would need to replace Foster with someone capable of playing a part this season because having just Jay Rod and Hountondji as recognised forwards is not the way you go about challenging for promotion.

All in all & taking everything into account I think with all the quality outgoings gone & going the promotion prospects will need some sort of a revision. You are asking a whole new unfamiliar team to all hit the ground running some not even having any championship background. It's a game changer all this upheaval not looked at the recent odds but they'll be drifting with every departee.

It’s alright saying ‘I’m happy for him to go’ but we have less than three days to sign about eight players.
If we agreed to a ‘only if we stay up’ clause with Ipswich, we’ve lost our marbles. If not, I can’t then see them going for it.

When has a relegated Premier League team ever had a massive turnover of players, and a new manager, gone on to romp the championship the following season?

Well theres's obviously one recent example we'd all be very familiar with. Difference is, however, they didn't have 2 and bit days to assemble most of a new squad.

The plan to finish in one of the automatic promotion places never left the ground and even a top 6 finish looks well beyond a squad of players stripped of any real quality and lacking in forward areas without a prolific striker for this league.
Wasn’t part of the stated plan to build a team that could challenge for promotion around a core of key players? The spine of the team has been ripped out and a rebuild will take time and will not happen overnight.

It’s alright saying ‘I’m happy for him to go’ but we have less than three days to sign about eight players.
This is the key factor now. We’re past the point of judging sales on their individual merits. It’s the bigger picture and what it means for the season ahead that matters.
We’ve no idea whether Mejbri, Sarmiento and Anthony are going to be the extent of the remaining incomings. Even if there’s is an intention to bring in more, it’s a lot harder to land targets at this late stage.
Unless we desperately need to sell this volume of players to stave off financial disaster, it’s very hard to understand the events of the last few weeks.
