Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome

Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Ipswich dumped out the cup tonight.
I’d be looking at a few of their players like Chaplin, Broadhead or Hirst who might not get much game time.
And if they do want Foster perhaps even a part-ex for a couple in return.

They must be being encouraged to make these offers.
We've only bought him a few weeks ago

Loan with buy option, no thanks. Clubs seem to be trying their arm, now the football world think we’re selling everybody!

If we let Esteve go on loan with an option having just signed him this summer I think it’ll be the final straw for a lot of fans (if some of the other rumours haven’t been already!)
Would we need to replace him based on current CBS?

They can have him for £30m and JBL in return.

If you simply must flog him Alan then maybe ask them about JBL whilst you're on with em cheers

Wonder what Alan Pace thought of our attacking options tonight.
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
LongsideClaret suggested it would take a ridiculous offer to get Esteve and given this is simply not that it seems highly unlikely. He also doesn’t seem the type to sulk. Can’t see this one.

What is it with this recent trend of “loan to buy” deals. Clubs just kicking the can down the road and it needs to be stopped. If you want the player, sign them! (And I include us in that too)

I’m willing to accept that we’ve engineered a lot of this ourselves, but I also think we’ve got a massive problem with the agents representing our players.
They are running amok and feeding the transfer gurus on social media.

Hoffenheim have spent just shy of €50M this summer which for them is huge.
Their record signing ever is Hlozek for €18M.
Similarities to Celtic wanting O’Shea- they don’t have the money.

Allows clubs to boot the cost into the next accounting year to stay within FFP/PSR.Rick_Muller wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 10:05 pmWhat is it with this recent trend of “loan to buy” deals. Literally just robbing Peter to pay Paul, but they're all at it so it's an option that a lot of clubs are willing to consider.
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
New theory just came to me why everyone is leaving...
.. timing coincides with Wout coming back into camp. Maybe he's told them all they are better than little old Burnley

I agree. But it is the agents job to do that. The issue to me is that clearly the club representatives have communicated to the agents that they are open to listening to offers, or there is little management of the situation to make it clear that certain players aren't for sale.agreenwood wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 10:09 pmI’m willing to accept that we’ve engineered a lot of this ourselves, but I also think we’ve got a massive problem with the agents representing our players.

If we sell Esteve then I'm not going on Saturday.
And yes I have a season ticket.
The prospect of getting mullered by those Dollopers on our own ground is too much to contemplate.
Probably will go tho'.

The only way I see Esteve leaving in this window is if Everton accept a late bid for Branthwaite and they dangle a 25m-30m carrot which Pace will find difficult to resist.

I think they sold season tickets under false pretences. After putting the price up.

What an attractive offer Hoffenheim have made to us.
"We'll take your best centre back, who will be worth a fortune this time next year, on loan for the season, and if we like him enough, we might buy him from you next summer".
Hahahahaha. Unfortunately, since they're negotiating with Alan Pace, Matt Williams, Lee Mooney et al, it will probably be accepted.

Surely he's making absolutely nothing whilst he's not turning up. Or has he got around that by throwing the mental health card which was rumoured.Poulton-le-Claret wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 9:59 pmNot heard anyone mention Tresor for a few days. If selling everyone is the start of Alan Pace and ALK out our club then so be it, I would take mid table championship and starting again, if it meant getting Burnley football club back

How many season tickets did we sell? I can see the rest being empty as nobody in their right mind will pay the high price to watch what we are going to be watching. Should be fun after they moaned about atmosphere with a full house.

What are you trying to prove?
You have made many assumptions there that only hold water if best practices are being followed. Mission to Burnley indicates that they weren’t
I have been I involved with many businesses far more sophisticated than BFC whohave no clue wat is happening accounts are prepared for them
