What an attractive offer Hoffenheim have made to us.

"We'll take your best centre back, who will be worth a fortune this time next year, on loan for the season, and if we like him enough, we might buy him from you next summer".

Hahahahaha. Unfortunately, since they're negotiating with Alan Pace, Matt Williams, Lee Mooney et al, it will probably be accepted.
It's baffling how common this has become over the last few years. These loan to buy deals should only happen when a club is selling a player they don't rate, or a young player who they want to get game experience.

How many season tickets did we sell? I can see the rest being empty as nobody in their right mind will pay the high price to watch what we are going to be watching. Should be fun after they moaned about atmosphere with a full house.
There will be plenty of noise at the Turf this season. I expect the chants of 'f*** ALK' will be in full swing if we lose on Saturday.

In fairness, it’s the exact same offer we’re alleged to have made to Plymouth for their best player.

If we’re going for players like Cannon, then we must have really been wasting Plymouths time with Whittaker.

might be after both if we see whittaker as a RW. I'm hoping against hope we're straight back in for whittaker and wear them down

Massive 2 days for ALK I think. If they fail and we lose it will be incredibly toxic at the Turf. What a bloody grim year of football we’ve had!

Remind me, how many goals did Foster get in the 22/23 campaign in the Championship? Oh found it, 1 goal.

Turf cast seem to be hinting that the Sarmiento medical hasn’t happened.

I imagine that’s the end of that then

Who'd have thought what the next 15 months would bring after the highs of April/ May 2023.

A masterclass in how to make bad decisions and destroy your successful football club.

As you say, they've got 2 days to put a sticking plaster over it.

Seriously debating whether to bring young family members on Saturday. If the next 72 hours go wrong it will be a level of toxicity not seen since Coyle. When Burnley fans turn, they turn.

Of course that disaster may yet be avoided by saying no to every bid from now on and buying 4-5 quality replacements for those gone, particularly up front / wide.

I think you might be disappointed. The links deminishing the closer we get to the window and a couple of last minute panic buys may be all we can expect.

It's like getting the wife a birthday present from the Shell garage on the way home from work when you've had weeks to get her something decent!!!

So no Sarmiento then?
Anthony is in.
Koleosho,Benson and Vitinho all to go?

We need attackers . And quickly

When you look at our previous championship season, the team was built upon a few gems from European leagues as well as a couple of loans from Premier league sides. Of course Kompany likely had a draw in those regards, but we're still a decent bet for players who want to play in the Premier league in the future.
I'm not sure why we seemingly haven't gone down that route again.

When the scheduled medical for Monday was cancelled and he played for Brighton and scored on Tuesday night it would have been a real shock if this deal was going ahead.

Ramsey and Redmond back around October/November - you could say just in time for the Jan window.

If we keep Foster and Luca then I could see us making a play off run second half of the season.

For the American owners this is simply another business where they can turn a profit and have themselves photographed parading around in baseball caps when all is going well. Whatever happened to that JJ Watt guy?

To the fans of Burnley FC they have far more invested in the club than simply money, and to see the owners selling off players and not strengthening the team in key areas for the coming season is more than heartbreaking.
