John Bond was famously advised to not enter Burnley, are we near this again?

I do fear we may be entering beyond post-Coyle levels of toxicity

We're (ie. the posters on here) by and large the most involved. The less fanatical supporter hasn't reached that stage yet IMO. On the other hand, they might have by Saturday if the rest of the window goes as badly as feared.

Pace doesn't have to walk across the pitch. That'll tone down any abuse.

*facepalm*

All this because the team lost to Sunderland and the club are busy selling AND BUYING players as per their business model

Honestly some of you need to touch some grass

Sold 20+ players. Signed, two who look good enough, Hannibal and Worrall.

I know 3 different groups of people totaling 9 people that all have season tickets, they aren't on any of the Burnley forums nor twitter - they are all livid. I think the thought that it's just those on the socials showing serious concern and doubt is fanciful.

People love adding to a good drama so I suppose it should be no surprise a thread like this becomes part of the soap opera. Good last couple of days in the transfer market and a good win on Saturday should calm everything down

Do you honestly think we are going to win on Saturday?

And how do you think it’s gonna go if we continue to sell and get tubbed?

I think vk is the love child of bond and coyle and the legacy of his ineptitude and arrogance whilst being at the club are now coming home to roost. The mission to burnley has not helped ,pace along with most of the fans bought into the vk love in despite all the red flags, baffling team selection, stubbornness, ability to talk without actually having any substance in what he was saying.
Nearly every over paid player he brought in has either gone or wants to leave, and we need to offload to get the wage bill down to a manageable level. This might lead to bang average players signing, and although early to judge I felt that Worrall is gonna fall into this category, plus hotonji, samba, Pires. Just hope we get lucky with Players coming I that's after we get rid of those that want to leave.

If it carries on into the match on Saturday, it will only benefit one team, and they won't be playing in Claret and blue
Unfortunately the brain dead won't realise that

No. Not even close. And to suggest so is utterly ridiculous and potentially harmful.

I’ve been utterly astonished by Burnley fan’s comments on social media.

We scored 9 goals in the first 2 matches and lost to Sunderland who are playing really well at the moment.

I’m concerned what will occur should we lose to Blackburn.

Agree when it comes to such things as being suggested by threads like this one but you must be seriously deluded if you think much of the fan's angry comments are because we lost to Sunderland.

Toxicity didn't exist then, it's a word only used on here in past 2 years

Perhaps we should just get behind the team that's fifth in the league after 3 games.

All this thread proves is that just like in the 80’s and 90’s we still have a small group of dickhead fans. Only difference is they have a platform to spout on now.

15 out including loaned out with obligations to buy

Signed 9? Inc loans to buy and also a lad who’d agreed to sign a little while ago

Not quite so dramatic when we can check the actual movement of players is it?

Yes, I’ve noticed lots of panicking on here by people desperate for alk to fail/leave

We’re operating as usual, buying and selling players etc

We used to moan that the club wouldn’t do much of its business until the last few days of the window, like a lot of other clubs

Now there are people moaning because we’ve been selling players on who no longer wish to be here and that’s despite the fact we’ve been making good money and we aren’t losing players for free like we did two summers ago

Some of you just like to moan it seems

An ideal platform for the terminally work shy to spout as much negativity as they can and gather more sheep to spread the would be toxicity !!!. It's far from ideal we all know that, but the constant regurgitation of ill feelings towards the board and hanging on every "rumour" about this that and the other player that's supposedly downed tools does NOTHING positive. Wake up FFS!
