Given inflation - and its probaly going to remain high - and a weakening pound, in about 10 years Odebert will be worth £100 million. Thats the one and he was our player (I think) when VK said that.

he did, probably gone for a lot more than we paid for him, plus he never said we had a player we would sell ourselves for that price, we need to wait a few more years before we can ridicule him for the statement. That's the thing with youngsters with potential, it takes some time to actually recognize the final outcome, and it's often others that benefit beyond the first clubs they play for, bit like SD when he was trying to get H Kane through the door really.

He was talking about Oderbert, not that we'd sell him for 100m but that he'd be 100m in the future.
