Think we have won if he played. We don't have anyone to play on the right. Koloesho really struggles on that side.

I thought he was excellent in the first half.

I agree but not because he would have played on the right, he’d have played in the 10 and probably taken a lot more of our dead balls we were awful at today.

We really need to stop JB taking free kicks.

We desperately missed him today imo. He would've ran the game when Rovers went down to 10 men.

Legend though, he's a Claret for life.

What did he create? He won somecorners, caused a bit of havoc with his running. But when he had time to run at a full back he thinks too much when he's on the right. He doesn't seem to like going on the outside, ends up coming inside on to his weaker foot which he can't use very well.

It looks much more natural and instinctive for him on the left, I'd swap him with Anthony personally.

Sarmiento played right side for Brighton, earlier in the week. He could be an option too.

I agree about the end product, but thought he tore them to pieces, time and again. He’s often lacked the end product - even on the left - that’s the area of his game that really needs to develop.

Koleosho miles better direct running on the right than he is on the left, he came up against a very good young left back today, there will be plenty of left backs this season that his pace is too much for

What have you been watching. He was really poor on the right last season and got gradually worse there today. He might be useful there with his pace but it's not his best position by a long shot

Last season doesn’t matter, he doesn’t have the technical ability yet to cut back in on his right from the left. His biggest asset is his direct running pace. He will get in behind so many left backs running from the right and will be able to pull the ball back into the box without doing it with his weak foot from the left.

Just my opinion of course and I respect you don’t agree.

The same Anthony that got the assist and caused problems for the vast majority of the game!

BUT I do agree he's much better on the left side 😁

I think your point is right on paper but for some reason he just looms uncomfortable in the right. He also doesn't seem great at making runs in behind, he looks closer to a good wing back than the goalscoring modern inside forward for some reason.

He’s still incredibly raw isn’t it which I think made it more frustrating that he was potentially going to leave. He will be a much better player after a year in champ

I think JBG will regret going to SA. The standard of football is terrible and he’s selling himself short. Money isn’t everything.

True!

Actually I have just looked at his new club's fixtures, and they don't have a game until 15th September.

We missed his calmness in picking a match winning pass today. We would have won that game with him in the team.

Completely agree.

This isn’t a go at Josh, who I thought played well, but his spooned shot when the pass was on to Koleosho and the FK at the end were two moments I thought of JBG and think his quality would’ve made the difference today.

Still can’t believe we’ve let him go really.

Hoping Ramsey & Redmond will both be able to unlock a tight defence. Assume Redmond’s return date will be closer - was he one of the group said by SP to be back on the grass?

Great to see his boy in a Burnley kit.

Shows how much the family loved their time at Burnley.

I think the money at this particular time in his career is indeed everything, especially with young children, it’s probably the best opportunity here and now to do it, all things considered. I imagine in two years he’ll be retiring.
