Sums it up well. We dictated the pattern of play from the off and they had to play largely on the break. As Scott Parker said, some of the ‘details’ weren’t quite right but that is hardly surprising given the turbulence of the past two weeks. We will have to learn how to unlock teams that sit back with more guile and variety, but the signs are much more encouraging

It was just a lack of invention in trying to unlock a team with nothing more in their heads than sitting back. That will surely come with time and once the players get to know each other.

Couldn’t have helped having the game at Wolves either but thankfully most of the new look squad can start training together now.

Thanks CT, fair report. Still think we didn’t do enough for three points, and Foster should cut out the theatrics.

A couple of more weeks time for our players to gel and we would have beaten them. Fair play, they were well organised, defended well and got the win for their fans

We didn’t in the end but I really think this game came at the wrong time for us. Nothing happens to change my opinion that we are much better than they are.

Their only ambition was to hold out for a point, hook or by crook, nowt else.

Like CT can’t say I enjoy the Derby but as of last Tuesday I would have settled for a point!!
A few weeks on and I think we would have won this and we are the better team.
