Trafford incident

Post by Cirrus_Minor » Sun Sep 15, 2024 12:58 pm

Not sure if this has been covered elsewhere, apologies if it has. But was Trafford hit by something during the game. I watched on tv and this showed Trafford rubbing his head and talking to the referee. I don't think it was after a Leeds attack.

He's getting abuse from a Leeds fan on social media claiming he refused to applaud before the game and on 6 mins which looking at clips, clearly isn't true.

On a day when humanity is on display with the applause for the young lad,you get the opposite end of the decency scale.

Is it a Leeds fan
Or a Burnley "fan" finding something to criticise Trafford on

I thought it was the ball sent back from the crowd that hit him.Had it been a missile we would have seen more action from ref and stewards surely?

He got hit by a ball that had gone into the crowd.
Some spanner, threw it at the back of his head.
They like throwing stuff at Leeds ( funny that nothing ever gets done about that)

Think we are being a bit precious, if we are making a big deal about the ball hitting James T. Do we want them to roll it back into play, from several rows back?

There was lots of cheers and laughs when Barton got hit by a bottle on the Turf, now we're offended by a ball hitting our player.
Row X having another dig at Burnley fans there's a surprise, wonder what your next username will be.

I did wonder if he’d been hit with something.

He was hit on the back of the head with a football. I didn’t spot if had come from the crowd or a ball boy.

Trafford took advantage and wasted a bit of time. Quite right too. Served them right.

Game management at its finest. The small break it caused slowed the game down and disrupted their momentum. Using their own fans thick mentality against them. Excellent stuff by Trafford.
