I wouldnt be surprised if they dont go on sale today, Sheffield fans cant even buy them yet, looks like they might be waiting until 'last minute' to set the category of their games.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 9:18 amTickets on sale in around 40 minutes but no information available as yet on prices.

Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
A friend of mine went down to the ticket office on Friday and was told that they should go on sale on the 23rd even though the advertised date it today!!
Not sure if they will go on sale today in that case as usually shows as an away game in the ticket section and would be available to the platinum club members already??

Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
So someone goes into the ticket office and is told they are not going on sale today as advertised but the club don't consider it appropriate to tell anyone else. Communication from our club has never been this poor, it really hasn't. And we have a drum banging Director of Fan Experience who goes into hiding for most of the time.bfcbri wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 9:36 amA friend of mine went down to the ticket office on Friday and was told that they should go on sale on the 23rd even though the advertised date it today!!

Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
I just rang the ticket office. It will be next Monday 23rd. Sheff Weds haven't sent any details to us yet regarding prices or anything so they can't do anything. I proposed they put something on the website and they have sent details to the social media team and once they have got the weekend stuff out of the way they will put something on!
Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
I did laugh watching mission to Burnley when Pace said something along the lines of we give them all the information they need and still can't see what we're doing or something similar basically saying they tell the fans everything.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 9:39 amSo someone goes into the ticket office and is told they are not going on sale today as advertised but the club don't consider it appropriate to tell anyone else. I like Alan Pace and he's doing a lot of good in certain areas but there's simple fan related areas that are really poor and they just don't get it.

Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
It's bad but I always remember the ticket office being bad at communication. A long spell of not announcing allocations or updates on sales, matches becoming sold out and then reappearing with loads of tickets available with no explanation, no-one ever answering the phone (it feels like this has improved), not announcing sales dates, etc.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 9:39 amSo someone goes into the ticket office and is told they are not going on sale today as advertised but the club don't consider it appropriate to tell anyone else. It's stupid because most of it is so easy now with easy lines of communication through the website and social media.

Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
It wasn't the ticket office who wouldn't announce allocations or updates, they were instructions from above which was crazy in my view. What's happened today is unacceptable and that isn't down to the ticket office.aggi wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 10:03 amIt's bad but I always remember the ticket office being bad at communication. As you said, it's easy now but the lack of communication is shocking.

Really hope that we end up taking the full 3,900.
Some away day that’ll be.

Can anybody actually access the ticket page on the website? Offering no options for away tickets, only home.

The 'old cynic' is back, CT but I feel compelled to ask what a 'Director of Fan Experience' does from Monday to Friday? I suspect your reply may follow the same pattern as one you replied to a couple of weeks back.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 9:39 amCommunication from our club has never been this poor, it really hasn't. I’m not convinced the economics really work out of charging so much more either, when you work out the number it puts off plus the catering sales, it can’t be far off.

So SW and Hull tickets are going on sale the same day?

Nobody has answered my question as to when Sheffield decided we couldn't sell tickets todaySilkyskills1 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 12:26 pmThe 'old cynic' is back, CT but I feel compelled to ask what a 'Director of Fan Experience' does from Monday to Friday? If it was last Thursday the club deserves a slating
If it was 9am today, not so much so, but some won't care, it's good opportunity to slate the club
I prefer facts before making a judgement

The club should have advised fans on Saturday afternoon that they hadn't received any tickets/info off Sheff Wed and would likely have to delay putting them on sale.
Some fans will have planned time off work/breaks this morning to sort tickets.
It's poor.

Someone was told on Friday last week that they weren’t going on sale today but nothing to tell us until 9:55. They didn’t tell us we couldn’t sell them, they have just not sent us any prices. All we had to do was let everyone know there was a delay.Row x wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 2:16 pmNobody has answered my question as to when Sheffield decided we couldn't sell tickets today

Ticket office not at fault in my view, it’s supporter services and communication.

Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
Who says they knew they were going on sale today? Burnley, not Sheff Wed, said they were going on sale today and when that became impossible, Burnley did nothing to let our supporters know.
Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
I appreciate that Burnley are at fault for not passing on the information earlier when they knew they wouldn't be going on sale today, no argument with thatClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 4:50 pmWho says they knew they were going on sale today? I haven't seen it suggested anywhere that today wasn't the agreed date between the club's when tickets were to go on sale, and it's not fair to guess that isn't correct. Sheffield, by not sending prices should shoulder some of the blame, at least until it's said that they didn't know we were putting them on sale today.

Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
Sheffield Wednesday have done nothing wrong. The error here is Burnley not informing supporters that there is a delay. Sheffield Wednesday did not have a deadline for sending the price information. I'm sorry, but to be levelling any blame towards SW is a nonsense.Row x wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 4:59 pmI appreciate that Burnley are at fault for not passing on the information earlier when they knew they wouldn't be going on sale today, no argument with that

Clubs don’t make such agreements. Burnley announced they were going on sale today weeks ago. When they realised they couldn’t they should have let supporters know. They failed to do so.

Ticket Disaster not Ticketmaster
Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
You've probably pointed out the real issue here. Nobody is taking responsibility for the communication. I'm guessing the ticket office pass the info on and see that as job done. The person receiving the info is then probably doing bugger all with it.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 4:00 pm

Why can't it all sit under the ticket office, they are the ones that really know what's going on.

Aren't PL away tickets still capped at £30? Seem ludicrous that it costs more to watch your team in the second tier...

With us making a decent start and probably taking a decent following the cynic in me thinks we could get bumped to a higher category, we'll see.

Also, Wednesday have incredible away support & sell out most allocations, so they don’t really need to take up and reciprocal pricing offers either.
