At least the manager has had enough sense to realise that having some experience in a young squad is vital and not to play 11 future £100 mill players

We won’t see Beyer this season I don’t think
career ending injury that could have been prevented is what I’ve heard.
Great signing though. We need men not boys to get back up

If he’s fit he’s a very good addition, particularly as he’s left sided. I hope this hasn’t happened due to concerns about Esteve?

He’s right footed? Played predominantly centre of a back 3 for Sheff Utd.jedi_master wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 5:28 pmIf he’s fit he’s a very good addition, particularly as he’s left sided. I hope this hasn’t happened due to concerns about Esteve?

Apologies I have always had it in my head that he played on the left with Ahmedhodzic/Basham previously to the right of him.

I have been wondering about this also. I have not seen much of him, but the Chelsea fans think a lot of himrandomclaret2 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 7:36 pmWhy didnt Humphreys come on ? He seemed the logical substitution to me

Could we look at a potential striker on a Free?
We have absolutely no cover for Lyle, which is a worry.

The Bosnian Sheffield United right back has today called his father “evil” and cut off ties to him after his father kept stirring the pot saying his lad wanted a transfer.
Just goes to show what a wild west the transfer market is and how the club don’t always know who to believe. A strong relationship between manager and player feels key.

Not followed his availability at all but imagine he’ll go to Saudi for a massive, undeserved salary.burnley007 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2024 6:23 pmTony Martial doesn't have the soul to play for a smaller club.
He's Billy big balls.

Don’t think we will now, we had named a squad of 23 and we will register sambo now he’s not moving on loan and have signed Egan so that’s the 25 man squad till January done.burnley007 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2024 11:36 amCould we look at a potential striker on a Free?

It’s most likely that if foster is injured our out of form then flemming will play as the 9 with someone else in the 10

Unlikely post surgery circumstances. Rare. Out until next year, at least 4 months.
Obviously not a straightforward injury

The thread that refused to die
Farcical Newcastle goalkeeper situation explained, Howe really wanted Trafford as a backup and eventual successor to Pope, but lack of exits and having to buy the Forest keeper despite not wanting him meant they had 5 senior keepers and couldn’t move back in for James.
Logic would suggest this is thus a nailed on bid in January it seems to me.

Hopefully Traff can justify the hype surrounding him when we bought him.Personally I am far from convinced and think Hladaky looks more than good enough at Championship level as he showed with his 19 clean sheets for Ipswich.
