Trafford- 6- very tidy with feet
Humphreys- 6 - needs to settle but I like him
Egan-Riley- 6 jury still out
Esteve- 7 improving all the time
Pires- 6, at times decent but his first touch …
Cullen- 7 industrious
Brownhill- 7 as per Cullen lots of willing
Hannibal- 7 fiery and wants it
Anthony- 6 once he hits a rhythm he could be very good
Koleosho- 6- decent as usual but it’s a narrow path he treads
Foster- 5 not falling for him at all and lacks confidence.

Subs Sari- 6
Rest N/A

From Stream

Trafford 6: Deckchair job.
Humphreys 6: Would give 6.5 but can't. The lad's playing out of position but wasn't exposed. Doing a job.
Egan-Riley 6: Gets a lot of stick but the lad's learning. Let's give him time.
Estève 7: We all know he's class. One nice long diagognal pass. Don't know whether he's told not to venture further or not but he must be able to do it.
Pires 6: Solid. Still settling in.

Cullen 7 : Ran the show first-half. Harder second period as we sat deeper.
Brownhill 6: Well done for the penalty as I wasn’t confident. I’m still struggling what to work out is going on with Cullen, Brownhill and Hannibal. I haven’t forgotten Josh’s goals but he doesn’t seem to do much else. But managers see things we don’t.

Hannibal 6: Seems to be calming down. I don’t see him as a number 10 and would rather have Flemming behind Foster. When both Foster and Flemming are fit SP may well do also.

Koleosho 7: Half-full or half-empty? I’m in the former category with this lad. Older fans always loved wingers and as soon as one of your own got on the ball there was a buzz. I’m staggered we signed him for what we did. Once he really clicks this lad will be worth silly money. People mention his frustration with himself. I obviously see their point but I’d much rather see a player be frustrated with himself than with his teammates.
Foster 6: More involved, dropped deeper at times. The attempted lob was far from easy. Needs a goal and needs Flemming playing close to him.

Anthony 7: Good match. Players on loan sometimes wish they were elsewhere. He doesn’t seem to be like that.

Subs:

Sarmiento. 6 For a “flair” player on loan this lad is showing full commitment. Difficult for him when we were defending so much. But he’ll have a good season.

We really could have done with the first-half not ending. I thought we played some quality football and deserved to go in two up. But a combination of the “final ball” and good defending stopped that.

Completely different second period. I thought SP could have urged us to play higher up but was his mind on Saturday? Whatever, another win and that against a decent side. I’m confident despite being a pessimist by nature.
