Team for today
Team for today
This is based on players returning from injury.
Trafford
Roberts
Egan-Riley
Estève
Pires
Cullen
Brownhill
Flemming
Koleosho
Foster
Anthony
The idea is to have Flemming, if fit, just behind LF or, indeed, alongside.
I like Hannibal but feel three CMs are better away from home. Foster struggles alone up top.

Foster(last chance to perform before Flemming returns for me)
Hopefully have the option of Hannibal, Flemming, Sarmiento, Agyei and Tresor on the bench

Re: Team for today
As op but Humps for CJER and wingers swopped around. Need 2 tall cbs.
Re: Team for today
It'll be basically same again in terms of system but im not sure it's helping us in an attacking sense. Hannibal was good the other day but I'd play Fleming there of if he's not fit I'd put Jay Rod in there. He could then become the focal point with Foster being allowed to focus on what he does best which is running in behind.

Re: Team for today
Would like to see both Flemming and Roberts back with ER and either Foster or Hannibal benched
But would not be surprised if we give them both till after international break to get fully fit and recovered.
Not sure if playing Roberts gives us an issue with Wales as he’s been called up to their squad.
It’s ridiculous that he gets injured playing for Wales then misses all the burnley games and just as he’s nearing fitness we face the possibility of his first or second game back being for his country again. The thing with Roberts is that he will be desperate to play for Wales and Bellamy.

I’d only give Luca half an hour and if he is no better than Tuesday hook him and get Anthony on.

Re: Team for today
Same team as v Plymouth. Parker will not change a team that has conceded no goals in two games

Re: Team for today
If he has proved his fitness, then Egan is a way better option at CB than CJ E-R.
He's also good for a goal from set-pieces, something that has been missing since O'Shea left.
He was on the bench on Tuesday, so presumably he is approaching match fitness?
And as others have posted, if Roberts is back then Humphreys must also be in contention for a CB berth.

Agree with this - those two ahead of Egan-Rileynil_desperandum wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 10:43 amIf he has proved his fitness, then Egan is a way better option at CB than CJ E-R.

Re: Team for today
From what I've seen on Egan Riley this season, he seems to be improving game by game, much like O Shea did
