Kettledrum
For all those who recently slagged The Kettledrum off I’m pleased to say it’s won LET pub of the year.

Doesn’t mean it’s all things to all men though does it?Stonehouse wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2024 3:04 pmFor all those who recently slagged The Kettledrum off I’m pleased to say it’s won LET pub of the year.![]()
Some people rave about The Bridge but I’m more than happy to walk past it and have a jar or two in The Circ…

Re: Kettledrum
Aaah the old Circ. What a place. I was in the Army in the late 70’s onwards. I used to come home on leave and meet my mates. The Cats Whiskers was ok but the nice girls used to frequent the Angels. Problem was, getting in the Angels was hit and miss depending on if the bouncers liked the look of you. 50/50 chance of getting in if you didn’t look like someone from Spandau Ballet.
Default position was the Circ with that chequered dance floor. Not a place for the faint hearted but great memories.

Who slagged it off and why ? IMHO anyone running a pub/ restaurant in the current climate deserves nothing but support.Stonehouse wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2024 3:04 pmFor all those who recently slagged The Kettledrum off I’m pleased to say it’s won LET pub of the year.![]()

Re: Kettledrum
Sorry can’t remember but a few were saying it was for the regulars only and only locals were welcome.
