Don't....... I asked something similar the other day and was lambasted with one poster suggesting I wanted to know private medical information on the players, and also SP isn't qualified to comment as he isn't medically trained.
Another poster suggested providing such information would be like leaking team news to our opponents.

Re: Tresor
The thing is, we don't KNOW that.
Re: Tresor
Don't hold your breath waiting for Tresor to make an appearance. He was pronounced fit over six weeks ago,and yet hasn't even played any part in an U21 game. Someone has already said the if he got his move in August he would be fit and playing by now,my thoughts exactly. The club has spent a lot of money in wages, agent fees, loan fees and last but not least transfer fee and he has contributed nothing, absolutely nothing in return. He can proudly hold the record as the clubs biggest waste of money ever.I hope he proves me wrong.

Re: Tresor
If you went to work today and had an accident that wasn't your fault and had to have time of work you would be fine with your work place reducing your wage ?
If you say yes then you will either be stupid or lying
If you say no then you would be a hypocrite
Re: Tresor
Im an employer. If my employee was constantly out sick. I would pay them off and get rid.
Re: Tresor
The club cant continue to pay a wage to a player that is not mentally or physically willing or able to present to play for the first team.

So if you had a member of staff ( I am taking your word that you employ people but there is some doubt) that was hurt while working for you, then you would basically get rid ?

Re: Tresor
The recent Q&A thread interpreted that the official line from the club hierarchy was that he was expected to feature again in 2 weeks.
If he's not on the field of play at the beginning of November then I doubt he ever will be.

Re: Tresor
Ignoring the nonsense about not paying him (which doesn't need ten people to argue against), the answer to the OP is probably that we'll see him back and making an impact in January, for a different team.

Given we know Parker is a good man manager, I do feel for him inheriting this kind of situation. A player like Tresor can be a game changer for a team like ours, giving some creativity to a team who are very risk averse and, at times, boring. I’ve wanted a longer run for Tresor for a year now (Kompany never gave him a go even before he was ill), but I simply cannot see it happening for whatever reason.

Re: Tresor
You'd think pretty soon if you believe the party line coming from the club, that he will be involved on the bench in the coming weeks. Our bench was very thin last night with no Sarmiento.
My gut instinct (and I very much hope I'm wrong) is that he will pickup another "knock" soon, and then he will be off in Jan.

For the hire ‘em, fire ‘em guys wouldn’t his salary be covered by insurance?
Re: Tresor
He’s definitely training and he’s appeared on several videos on the clubs Instagram lately as well as training gallery. Seems happy enough here (this week).

Re: Tresor
You’d do that even if they were legally entitled to 3 or 4 years of wages and to refuse even a penny less than that ?
What would be the point if there was chance that he or she may return to “work” or in the case of footballers somebody else take him off your hands and save you some of the wages you would have to pay him ?

Re: Tresor
He does look happy in that photo. Hopefully we'll see him with one of those green bibs on in the next photo.
Re: Tresor
The club certainly has a decision to make on Mike. Letting him go in January could be a big risk though. His value has already dropped since he arrived. If he were to go out on loan and either not play or not perform his value will drop even further. I'd rather try to reintegrate and put him in the shop window. The lad must have more than enough for the Championship surely?daveisaclaret wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2024 9:36 amIgnoring the nonsense about not paying him (which doesn't need ten people to argue against), the answer to the OP is probably that we'll see him back and making an impact in January, for a different team.
Re: Tresor
All companies have ways of getting rid of troublesome staff. Its called managing them out.
Re: Tresor
If an employee is troublesome and not doing their job only one place for them.
The gate.

I don't think anyone said that he was injured, just that he had health issues and was ok more that 6 weeks ago.It remains to be seen how "unwell"or injured he has been.Like someone has already said,if there is no sign of him on the next couple of weeks,we will know that health is not the real problem

Re: Tresor
I was not aware that it was a mental health issue, the club didn't say that, just that it was health issues.I guessing it was Idontwanttoplayforburnleyites. There were comments about his attitude when he signed, certainly when he played against Luton and now,so long after being pronounced fit,not even an U21 game.
If he was a free transfer he would have been gone in August and it would have been interesting to see how "injured" he was, but we had just paid £13m for him and the club couldn't let him go for less.
I don't need to be medically qualified to know when we're being had,and I think Tresor is taking the pss.I really hope I'm wrong and in a few weeks I'made to eat my words

Re: Tresor
Same squad for Saturday according to the presser, so no Mike again this weekend

Re: Tresor
I know it sounds harsh. But business is business. If a person is ill and cannot attend work or fulfill their duties an employer can not be asked to pay wages indefinitely.

Re: Tresor
Maybe he's still not fit (mentally or physically), maybe SP doesn't rate him, or maybe he just hasn't got the right attitude to be considered.gtclaret wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2024 1:25 pmI don't think anyone said that he was injured, just that he had health issues and was ok more that 6 weeks ago.It remains to be seen how "unwell"or injured he has been.Like someone has already said,if there is no sign of him on the next couple of weeks,we will know that health is not the real problem
Until the manager chooses to tell us, it's pure conjecture.

What I saw of him last season I thought he was bloody awful. I sincerely hope he proves me wrong because we need some decent attacking players.

Yes but there is also 'Swinging a leg'. I think that's what some comments are suggesting in this case.

Re: Tresor
I suspect that he's probably now physically fit, but it's more about attitude and desire. Parker has a fair few options without the need to cajole and pander to a guy who almost certainly doesn't want to be here. He's training and keeping himself in shape with the understanding on all sides that he's extremely unlikely to be called on to actually play and he'll be allowed to leave for decent money (but almost certainly a financial loss) in January. I'm just guessing, but that seems the most likely scenario imo.

The disrespect this lad gets on here is embarrassing. I admit, it's been a bit of a strange situation but the constant barrage of abuse isn't right. None of us know his situation.
People's opinions are based on cameo appearances in a team that very few players come out of the season with much credit.
People on here had similar options on Amdouni. In the very limited appearances he made this season before he left, he looked a cut above. Tresor could well be the same. (He can't be any worse than Anthony)
I for 1 can't wait to get him in the team to see what he can do.
If it doesn't work out then so be it.
Until then, he's a Burnley player and deserves our support.

You say some readers are disrespectful of Tresor then you go on to say he cannot be any worse than Anthony
Anthony has only been with us 2 months but has already made a major contribution to our performances and results .Whats Tresor done in 14 months ?
