As long as he can put the ball in the net I don't really mind where he is from.

Aaron Taylor Johnson I rekon
Re: Next 007?
Always thought Henry Cavill would make a good Bond. Nearly pipped Craig for the role back in the day but was considered too young apparently.

Re: Next 007?
I just want a Bond film where he goes on an MI-5 backed mission and uses funky gadgets against a cartoonish villain.
The last few films were so boring.

Re: Next 007?
By all accounts The Jackal with Eddie Redmayne is meant to be incredible. Maybe he’s bumped himself into the running.

Think they need to give Bond a rest. It’s had its day and lost its way.

Re: Next 007?
The Bond franchise is worth billions so it won't be risked on a woman. It's not that there aren't great female actors but simply it would be too far for many fans. It could be a black male actor but I think they will want someone young enough to do 4 or 5 films, so Idris Elba out for that reason.
Re: Next 007?
They need to go back to their roots. Set it in the 50s with the emphasis on retro gadgets and true spy work.

Re: Next 007?
I’d like to see somebody like Theo James who starred in The Gentlemen. He’s 39 I see though, which is a couple of years older than I thought he was.
Henry Cavill would be a decent shout, but I think Daniel Craig was 38 for his first outing and Cavill is already 41 now, so he’d be 43-44 by the time the film came out. How many would he do before they were looking for a replacement? I would think they would want at least 5 films out of an actor?

Re: Next 007?
Probs time to wheel out the one trick pony show of Idris Elba … though he can now say “ I’m too old to play Bond”
They may well choose a black actor as the publicity alone would be huge , and Ann Widecombe will be able to call it “ politically correct nonsense “ and people can say things “ Gammons will be raging “ etc etc .
Didn’t the Sun leak it was Aaron Taylor Johnson recently ?

Re: Next 007?
I thought the reinvention with DC went very well. It needed to move away from the cartoon it had become.
I’m not going to suggest a replacement, when they announced DC I was underwhelmed - disappointed even, but within 30 seconds of Casino Royale starting, I KNEW they’d nailed it.

Re: Next 007?
Must admit i prefer the older, cheesier Bond films that had a bit of humour. Didn't really rate the Daniel Craig one's.

Re: Next 007?
Same. The Bourne and Mission Impossible series have become much better versions of what Bond was trying to do anyway.
I do like Casino Royale though.

Ashley Barnes?

Rumours that Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been offered the role.

Re: Next 007?
I'm surprised that nobody has suggested Nathan Tella yet?
Whatever the problem, there's generally someone on here who thinks that it would be cured by re-signing NT
