Re: Trivia question ..
Still the best centre forward I've ever seen play for us and I don't think that will ever change. Willie scored all types of goals and I can still picture him running 60 yards at pace in a League Cup tie at QPR in 1967 before hammering the ball past the keeper. 3 months later and that dirty barsteward Morrissey at Everton albeit ended his Clarets career. Thanks for the memories Willie.

I remember getting his autograph whilst he was in plaster sitting at the side of the players entrance in the old Bob Lord stand. I actually reminded him of this fact when I bought him a pint of Guinness many years later in the hospitality area of the JHsjb wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 9:55 amStill the best centre forward I've ever seen play for us and I don't think that will ever change. He really benefited from having big Andy Lochead as a striking partner. So many of his goals came from Andy's knockdowns.

Re: Trivia question ..
How many did Jimmy Robson score the season Burnley beat Forest 8-0 at home. Did he score five that day?
Re: Trivia question ..
You're right, I overlooked his 3 goals in the League cup.
