It's all about the squad

Post by Woodleyclaret » Sun Nov 24, 2024 10:58 am

Yesterday was a superb example of game and squad usage by SP.Hooking Hannibal who Bristol players were hacking all game before he lost his rag.
Using Laurent, Samiento and Egan to see the game out and playing Jayrod in his proper position.

Cracked me up when Hannibal applauded all sides of the ground. Brilliant.

He did that at Leeds and I think he was fined for incitement.

Hadn't seen that he'd been fined

Was he even charged? There was an idiot journalist claiming he should have been but I don't recall anything more.

Thought SP left Jayrod on too long but that apart, was an excellent example of squad rotation and showed our strength in depth.

The squad will be tested over the next few weeks.

Brownhill will be an injury concern this week.

There a few players who are close to return but not quite there yet (including Redmond who can't be fully ready yet)

Yellow cards, cut off for five yellows is after game nineteen, which is after the Middlesbrough home game.

Our players at risk are:-

Four Cautions

CJ Egan-Riley
Lyle Foster
Josh Cullen
Hannibal

Three Cautions

Lucas Piers
Luca Koleosho

Two Cautions

Five Players

He wasn’t. Others were sanctioned for that incident.
