Connor Roberts
I think that's the best I've ever seen Connor play for us.
He was genuinely sensational tonight; he was absolutely everywhere and has formed a really strong partnership down the right with Jaidon Anthony.
The power of the moustache, long may it continue.

He looked really up for it straight from the initial kick off when he made a huge underlapping run at full peltCoolClaret wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 9:48 pmI think that's the best I've ever seen Connor play for us.

Re: Connor Roberts
Yeah, him & Jaidon really compliment each other and is surely a shoe-in for the rest of the season, barring injuries.
Our right-hand side was brilliant tonight.

I think the three of Roberts, Anthony and Hannibal all link together really well

Re: Connor Roberts
I thought he looked good tonight.
But I honestly thought that was Cullens best performance in nearly 16 months.
Dominated midfield from the moment it kicked off.

Re: Connor Roberts
Did anyone else notice that at the end if the game he was stood on his own for couple of minutes, before joining the rest of the team?

I agree on Cullen, I think it was Roberts, Cullen and Anthony’s best games of the seasonNewcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 10:01 pmI thought he looked good tonight.

Just glad those two misplaced passes within 40 seconds of each other didn't get Coventry back into the game.

Re: Connor Roberts
Great team performance and Hountondji looking like a centre forward. If Jay is feeling it, after 2 games within 4 days I'd be more than happy to start with Hountondji against Stoke.
Re: Connor Roberts
Can’t believe people think Roberts was man of the match rather than Cullen. Did people not see Roberts duck out of heading the ball in midfield towards the end of the second half. Honestly don’t know what people saw in Roberts. And yes I was at the match.

Re: Connor Roberts
Roberts was absolutely fantastic tonight. Brilliant performance. Some defence we have at the minute. Certainly at this level.

Robert's heat map was shown on Sky and it was ridiculous. Practically all of the right hand side of the pitch was covered. He has some engine.

Re: Connor Roberts
Your first point is moot but Roberts is a very good footballer. His run for the first goal was outstanding and his overall display was what I would hope for from a seasoned international footballer. No problem with anyone looking for faults or shortcomings if they think they are deserved but Roberts tonight showed his class.

Re: Connor Roberts
Connor at last brought his Wales form to the table with an excellent performance.I just wish he would use his long throws more hurling the ball forward rather than backwards from throw ins

Re: Connor Roberts
Good that he is getting a mention. He is a good fit for our club and even though he’s not blessed with great pace he more than makes up for that with his never say die attitude , good touch and running into dangerous positions . Remember him creating goals like last night in our last promotion season. Hopefully a good omen
