Re: Wayne Rooney
The pundits will still see no fault in one of their own, plus if he gets canned the Rooney PR machine will engineer a job for him after identifying a gullible owner.
Re: Wayne Rooney
To be fair. He's always been dealt pretty crap hands.
Unlike Lampard who was gifted 3 great jobs and blew them all.

Re: Wayne Rooney
It's a brave/stupid club who hires him after he's put out of his misery by Plymouth, an obscure European club after some publicity or Saudi. There can't be many managers with a worse points per game than him, I found this while searching, not great.

He'll be gone soon enough, but I wonder when the penny will drop and he finally realises he's not cutout for football management.

Re: Wayne Rooney
I wouldn’t be too sure that he’ll be imminently sacked.
I think if they can survive, they’ll see it as a successful season.

He was under no illusions about the size of the task ahead of him when he took the job.
I think he is brave for taking it on, he certainly isn’t doing it for the remuneration. I’m with the above poster. If he keeps them up it will be seen as success.

Re: Wayne Rooney
Their home form may just be enough to keep them up.

Re: Wayne Rooney
In fairness he was dealt a ridiculously bad hand at Derby. I’d suggest he was as successful as it was possible to be there.Wo Didi wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 6:44 pmIt's a brave/stupid club who hires him after he's put out of his misery by Plymouth, an obscure European club after some publicity or Saudi. I'm surprised nobody on social media has knocked up an eviction number board for I'm a celeb and included him on it.

If Plymouth stay up, he will have done an excellent job.

Re: Wayne Rooney
Yes I agree with you Tony about his time at Derby and actually thought he came out of that club with a lot of credit. As a young English manager I'd like to see him succeed but I won't be holding my breath.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 8:05 pmIn fairness he was dealt a ridiculously bad hand at Derby. Another in the longline of good ex Manure players who bombed in management RVN being the next one out at entitled Leicester.

Re: Wayne Rooney
He's definitely not suggested he has much in the way of managerial qualities since
