Anthony is having a mare at the minute. Hopefully be better second half.
Not sure if Koleosho would be any better though as it's currently a game where he'd be running into their players.

Flemming being bullied a lot, and doesn’t seem up to it tonight
He just never seems to find a pocket of space, or drop off his defender at the moment

We're a more effective attacking unit when we play an actual centre forward, whoever it is.
Feel a bit sorry for Flemming.

We are dreadful as an attacking force whenever Jay Rod doesn't play.

HT 0-0. What we’ve become accustomed to, bang average first half then we’ll blow the door down in the second.

Why isn't the manager telling them there's 8 seconds left to bang it in the box? Why pass back when there's literally seconds left.

Derby are poor, but we just can't get it going in that final third.

Just keep getting the ball to Sarmiento!

Anthony and Flemming ineffective. If both were playing like Sarmiento is then we’d be winning. Some good pockets of play but need better final ball (as per).

Bar Sarmiento, the rest need a rocket up them.

No aggression, passive in possession, and apart from Sarmiento, nobody looking to make something happen.

We’ve had runners breaking forward and full backs under lapping at times, but we’ve refused to play the incisive ball and instead gone for the safe option, allowing Derby to set.

Didn’t think at the start of the season I’d be saying we are missing Egan Riley’s composure at the back.

We made that half easy for Derby and now second half they are going to be horrible to play against

Sloppy up front.

Losing our one-on-one battles all over the pitch.

Anthony clearly doesn't fancy it.

4 out of 14 crosses completed

A frustrating half but I think we did improve as it went on. We've still lacked composure at times though and looked a bit panicky when pressed.

To be an effective 10 you need to know what positions your 9 and wingers are picking up. Flemming should know what runs to make, where to be etc etc. It’s not like he’s be asked to play in goal.

Hi KRBFC.

Not sure if you realised, but we went down last year without laying a glove on the PL.

Right now we're in the top three and going from strength to strength - I implore you to check out Connor Roberts' recent interview with BBC Radio Lancs talking about the turmoil at the club because SP has done a tremendous job given the circumstances.

Cheers.
That at least makes some sense to me now.

I've been going to Burnley games since the 70s. This is the 1st time I can ever remember not wanting to go to games, irrelevant of results, it's an entertainment industry and I'm just not entertained with this side. That almost certainly makes me an awful fan, but I can't pretend to enjoy this.

We will still go on to win the game I'm sure...

45 minutes of utter tripe in a half empty stadium. Pires not interested Flemming never a cf. Anthony playing no part. Only Sarmiento and Brownhill look to have any ability.
So Ekdal on at ch.Himph to lb in place of Pires. Koleosho on for Anthony and Jay Rod or the Hound on for Flemming. If we continue to play like this we will not even make the play offs.

Utter shite from Parker, we've got the best centre half In the league and he insists on playing 3 defensive minded midfield players. Esteve could defend on his own, why does he need so much protection?

It's absolutely mind-blowing his obsession with players out of position and if he hasn't seen by now this midfield 3 balance doesn't work then he never will. As for Flemming at striker, I give up.

Playing dross like Derby at home it should be wave after wave of attack, 2 leagues separated these sides 6 months ago. Yet we set up so negatively.

The way we've played tonight passing back is probably the best thing to do, see it out till halftime. If we'd 'banged it in the box' we'd have probably lost it and they'd have had an attack. Get to half time 0-0

Sarimiemto is playing really well, but I much better than all our other forward players. Our ball retention is awful and I hope you don't take this as criticism but Anthony has been ferkin useless. I would sub Anthony for Koleosho and bring on anyone who can play like a center forward.
I hope Parker fires them up totally for the second half.

We set up to not lose so it is no wonder we struggle to score. Parker said he would do different tactics for different teams but, up to now, it seems the only real change has been at left back.

fair to say Anthony has not had his best half, other than a neat ball into Sarmiento for his volley. Flemming hasn't looked sharp, but i'll say it till I'm blue in the face, he's not a 9 who does his work back to goal. He's not turned into a bad championship player overnight.

By all accounts Parker has been reading Gareth Southgate’s tactical master plan from the Euro’s titled ‘how to make your team less balanced with zero impact down your left flank’ 🤣

There was a moment in that first half where I could not believe what I was seeing

Of course we're going from strength to strength; we have quite literally just won 4 out of the last five and conceded just 7 goals in 20* games.
