Anyone else got the lurgy? I have had two days of none stop coughing and today can't stop sneezing and am aching everywhere with a banging headache. Supposed to be going out tomorrow for Christmas dinner but looks like I will be staying in

. They are going to deliver it to me though

TBH there are so numerous bugs and viruses around this year. My mum ( RIP)used to say a really cold winter kills them off. We used to laugh at her, however who knows with how mild it is?

Seemed to be poorly on/off for a month, in between a few fitness events i had, id be ok for the event then poorly for 3 days afterwards as my body tried to recover.
My family were all off work and school for a few days over a week period as well.
Just that time of year i think

Was ill for the first two weeks of December: headache, feverish temperatures and a dull pain in my lower chest. Thankfully, seem to be over it!
Get well

It's a very true statement that your Mum (RIP)made.
No so much to do with the actual temperature per se though.
More that people tend not to mingle and go out as much, hence spread germs, if it is a cold winter.
Definitely lots of lurgy this year milder temps meaning more mingling and warm sweaty places to spread said lurgy

Both my wife and I have had a dreadful cough for about a week. Coughing through the night has not been good, the wife has aching ribs this morning. We’re eating out today, the first time we’ve ever done that, we’ve a couple of hours drive to get there though. it’s just a shame we’re not on top form but it sounds like this bug is going around. We’ll make the best of it though. I hope everyone who’s not feeling well gets better soon. Merry Christmas to you all.

I also have had every symptom spoken about here. Not yet over it but better. Because I am such a coward I have munched or drank my way through a whole chemist's full of pain killers, cough drinks and cough sweets.

Cold temperatures do not directly kill viruses, but they can affect their survival and transmission. Cold temperatures also lowers immunity making us more susceptible. Merry Christmas!

Maybe he thinks it's better to give than receive, especially at Christmas.
