442
Should we try playing 442 again as yesterday with guy sent off we looked more of a threat with ten men with two up top ..

Re: 442
442 is too advantageous with the way Parker wants to control possession. Apart from a few minutes here and there I don't think he's ever lined his teams up that way.

I’d be more tempted to do 4–3-3. Foster flemming and antony.

Re: 442
Couldn’t agree with you more and it gives Brownhill licence to break into the box more but not playing Laurent against Stoke left Brownhill sitting too deep.Sapperclaret73 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 8:32 amI’d be more tempted to do 4–3-3. Foster flemming and antony.

Re: 442
We played in essence a 4-4-2 against Watford, Sheff Utd and Boro, with Flemming and Brownhill positioned close together. Here is a screenshot of just before our opening goal where both of them are in positions you’d expect from a front 2. You can clearly make out the midfield 2 of Cullen and Laurent sitting. Hannibal drifts inside into the pocket of space provided from the gap between midfield and 2 ‘strikers’ and plays a forward ball to Brownhill. Whether he’s called Brownhill or Foster it’s still the same ‘position’ and space being attacked.

Re: 442
I'd like to see Foster and Flemming up top together at some point but at this moment in time we seem to play best with Brownhill in the 8/10 behind a striker with a Hannibal/Laurent also playing.
