Surely nobody can defend Tresor now, so after having a dead leg he’s now ill again

Just get him out the club

A rancid annoyance poisoning the club from inside.

Absolute joke. The mismanagement of this is criminal. Obligation to buy nonsense has come back to bite us. What a complete mess. How much did we pay for this joker again?

Wouldn’t want him anywhere near a game like the weekend anyway with his weak as p*ss attempts at putting challenges in etc. The senior players Brownhill, Cullen, Jay etc need to get hold of him at this point and tell him how it is. Zero chance this happens with the previous senior pros we’ve had at the club over the years.

I have so many elderly friends surviving on a pittance and this "oxygen and wage stealer" has already taken £2m in wages. And my only memories of him are his shirking of tackles v Brentford and Luton, the likes of which I have never seen a Burnley player do in 60 years of following our team

I read the other day that Alan Pace wants him to play for the club again before he will consider letting him leave.

Well I think it’s pretty obvious that this person will do anything to avoid doing the work he’s being paid for. It will be a long and expensive stalemate if that remains the plan.

I think he's our most expensive signing ever, played a handful of times and pulled up no trees when he has played. For a club our size saddled with debt, don't you think the whole process, from initial signing to obligation to buy, should have been trodden more carefully? We paid 18m euros for him. How much do you reckon we'll get back, after showing himself to be a bad apple who has sat on his arse for months?

For months the fans have been strung along, told about mysterious illnesses and injuries when it's clear he will never play for the club again.

How else would you describe it?

The omens were not good from the very start. It seemed very clear Tresor needed a lot of convincing to come.

Just going of the transfer fee of £15m, and not including wages, he’s cost us £25000 PER MINUTE PLAYED

Exactly, why spunk £18m euros on him? His notable contributions in his entire loan period could be summed up by those tackles he shirked out of in the Prem games. Couple that with him clearly having doubts about coming here, were there no alarm bells??

True, but what do you do? Just take a £15m hit because someone’s being a ****?

Bit of a conundrum. I hope lessons are being learned over this.

Alan pace should have learned a lot of lessons in the 23/24, the way he was in the present of Vincent kompany was truly embarrassing. We are going to suffer because of the total miss management of the club top to bottom last season

Some footballers aren't the brainiest of bunches. I can remember reading Peter ridsdales book & they was at the airport waiting to board a flight to turkey & woodgate had left his passport in a safe at home literally in a safe because he had been told to keep it safe & didn't want to lose it.

I’d described it as I said previously, he’s a bad egg.

I’m assuming he was very much a signing that Kompany wanted. On paper, it looked to be a promising piece of recruitment.

It transpires that we’ve landed a lazy, uncommitted, dosser, who probably thinks he’s too big for Burnley (not that he’s delivered anything like enough to hold such an opinion).

There are big lessons to be learned, but I’m not sure what else we could do from a management perspective. Players hold too much power in these situations.

He’s clearly one of the players that refused to play for us again and unlike the others he’s not got a move. We just need to cut our losses and get rid. It’s a shame because I think he’d be immense at this level and the sort of player we’re missing.

Unfortunately the way players contracts are written that would be very difficult.
It’s rarely happened in the game and when a contract haw been terminated without a player being paid out for the remaining it’s invariable fallen into a Ched Evans or the Johnson lad type category

The problem isn't the attitude of this guy towards our club, which is despicable, but retaining as much of our investment as possible. But whilst he is behaving like a spoilt brat his attitude will not be helping him get a new gig anywhere else, probably why the club has tried to keep a lid on this. I just hope we can get rid ASAP with some decent recompense, but doubt it.

Stories like this make me feel for Parker, Pace and even the other players. We have all been in work environments where wastes of space are like a cancer to organisational culture. The public sector is full of them. OK, someone dropped a clanger by sanctioning signing Mike without proper "fit and proper" due diligence (AFTER we had already signed loads of wingers), that may be Kompany, it may be Mooney, it may be Pace, it may be Williams. But whoever it was must fully realise that gaffe now and just wants to get him out of the building with maximum sale price. I don't like being lied to, let's be frank we have been, but I can see why they try to be quiet about all this just to maximise the price. Sooner the departure happens the better.

A real shame because he would have shone in this side with his whipped in corners, free kicks and cutting inside onto his right foot.

On the positive - we can name dozens of these for other clubs, Man Utd sign one every window. Our club has been managed so well we have avoided too many of them. It's only really been in the Kompany era.

We will at least have the memory of him trotting on the pitch on a cold January night against Luton and seeing him give his all for the cause.

I don't think there's any outcome possible other than a big loss now. Tresor out the door and off the wage bill is as good a result as we can hope for.
You'd certainly like to think Pace has learnt some lessons, he was so in awe of Kompany he completely lost the plot that summer.

And there were posters on here, until quite recently, asking other posters to cut him some slack, pretending they were in the know about something serious that was affecting the player and that it was understandable why he was not playing.Of course these posters stating they could not divulge more. Then adding they could not understand the infatuation in fans wanting to know more. Hopefully the club has had top solicitors all over this and his contract, and the club does not come out of this too badly. Yes you would want him down a dark alley with Barnes and Barton at each end

I can’t remember him reaching the 6yds box with any of his corners I think you may be confusing him with a professional footballer.

One of those examples where a bit of information (which happens to be more than most) can be a dangerous thing.

I find it difficult to feel for Alan pace on this one, to allow kompany to spend that sort of money on a winger when we already had an unbalanced team. Pace should of said no that’s enough no more money on wide players

I have so many elderly friends surviving on a pittance and this "oxygen and wage stealer" has already taken £2m in wages. And my only memories of him are his shirking of tackles v Brentford and Luton, the likes of which I have never seen a Burnley player do in 60 years of following our team

Unfortunately this stinks of lots of loans out until his contract is up. Turkey and Holland bound probably. Waste of money in the end , cut the losses now and use the money on a loan to send us up

It's time for the club to arrange a statue in case the legend leaves, I'll miss him terribly, a true servant.
My suggestions.

I think missing his flight was a strong clue.
This is when we should have looked elsewhere.

I dont think I ever saw Eagles win a tackle, but I could live with that because he played 120 games for us, scored 20 goals and had unbelievable skills. He also helped us win promotion
