Worrall
Worrall
Haven't seen it posted but I noticed Worrall on the touch line encouraging the lads through the game today while he was warming up, looked like he was trying to keep players heads together etc.
Nice to see that even if he's not on the pitch he's doing his bit too, just thought it was worth a mention.

Re: Worrall
When everyone was losing their heads at the end of the Summer transfer window I was reassured to hear Joe Worrall was signing up for Parker’s Burnley. His experience and attitude are just what is required in a young side.

Re: Worrall
He was doing exactly the same during those games when Hannibal was playing on the left of midfield. Just a shame he wasn’t warming up down the other side against Stoke late in the game.

Worrall was also conducting the defensive drills with the back four with Mike Jackson pre-match.

Re: Worrall
I noticed that as well - particularly with CJ when he got pushed into the advertisement hoardings in the second half. Good on him.
Re: Worrall
True pro this lad. Does not moan or complain and without doubt will be ready when called upon.
Brilliant for the dressing room. A massive part of our incredible “team”
Well done son !

Re: Worrall
He was a great team player at Forest, loved by their fans, and I think he has maintained this virtue at Burnley
Re: Worrall
I hope he will be OK with being a backup for us. He's clearly a fantastic character but I'd hope we don't have to use him as one of our first choice centre halves anytime soon.

Reminded me of one of those wrestling managers pumping up their man ring side. Loved it!boyyanno wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 7:40 pmHaven't seen it posted but I noticed Worrall on the touch line encouraging the lads through the game today while he was warming up, looked like he was trying to keep players heads together etc.

Re: Worrall
I think the goals against this season probably helps ease his frustration.
Must be tough though because you know youve no chance of playing at the minute.
Surely one of our CBs will be off this month, we have so much quality there its scary.
Re: Worrall
Can't be easy for him, must have come in expecting to be a regular, now can't get a sniff.

Re: Worrall
Him and Egan are great players, weve still got Beyer and Ekdal as well who are proven to be two of the best in the league, its brilliant
Re: Worrall
I'd be shocked if either went this month but even if they did I'd prefer Worrall not to be the first choice. He's quite limited.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 9:43 pmI think the goals against this season probably helps ease his frustration.

Re: Worrall
Ah yes. Disappointing but it looks like Ekdal and Delcroix are on their way out. I like both, Delcroix especially has been unlucky with lack of opportunities.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 9:58 pmWhen i say one of our CBs i mean the 4 that arent playing, i cant see us selling our current 2
I wouldn't be against selling Pires and keeping Delcroix as backup LB and LCB. Don't think we have another left sided centre half so it seems a bit short sighted to get rid.

Re: Worrall
He’s obviously our best defender in the air, his passing isn’t Egan Riley- ish but is the next best at cross field balls. No t the fastest but no problem with him stepping in when needed and seems a great influence on the others.

Re: Worrall
He seems to be a genuine fella, one of the game's good guys and he's still highly thought of at Forest. Definitely a great character to have around the place and the above all demonstrate that. I noticed he had a decent length chat with Chris Brass during Half-Time after Brassy's 'interview' (2 brief questions).
