Players Lens /AI Scout
Players Lens /AI Scout
Not heard much about these initiatives in a while - quietly dropped by ALK?

Think I read somewhere that PlayerLens is no more.
Think AIScout is still going strong judging by the presence at the Dude Perfect tournament recently.
Relatively small holdings in each I think, so neither here nor there regardless.

Re: Players Lens /AI Scout
I think they had a youth tournament recently that was sponsored by AI Scout.
We signed a lad a couple of years ago who had been at Spurs and said it was via AI Scout. It's Jez Davies and he's currently on loan at Ebbsfleet from Salford.

Wasn't Mr. Kompany associated with one or both of these 'initiatives'?

PlayerLens was served with a first Gazette Notice on December 10 2024 for failing to post accounts - it has also shed most of its directors - it has been a struggling business for a number of years - as I have previously reported on the takeover thread

Ai Scout is owned by Project 23rd Century Ltd and has bee though yet another round of funding (share issues) which last year included a sizeable loan that could turn into equity if certain performance criteria are met (a part conversion has already occurred - there are quite a number of US funds invested in it - note that Vlad Torgovnik's holding in the business is greater than ALK's

Re: Players Lens /AI Scout
No AI product would recommend Ashley Barnes because of his ability in sh*housery and popularity amongst other players.
So, I guess AI only has a limited contribution to make to buying players more than traditional statistical methods.

Playing today against Toulouse but replaced at half time. I’d be interested to know more about how he’s getting on there.

The fact nobody on twitter clarets is posting anything about him this season shows he’s not doing very much. Had kompany not disregarded him then I think he could have been good this season. However by all accounts last season he was training poorly and spending a lot of time on the treatment table

Is Vlad T still involved with Burnley?Chester Perry wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 1:01 pmPlayerLens was served with a first Gazette Notice on December 10 2024 for failing to post accounts - it has also shed most of its directors - it has been a struggling business for a number of years - as I have previously reported on the takeover thread

Interesting. It’s a shame he hasn’t progressed. In the promotion season he was arguably better than any of our wingers this time around. Even after the world cup he showed moments of quality even if he didn’t match his previous standards.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 4:40 pmThe fact nobody on twitter clarets is posting anything about him this season shows he’s not doing very much.
