Tresor
With Tresor being on the bench today will he be cup tied even if he fails to get on the pitch?

Wouldn’t think it would apply if he doesn’t come on and wouldn’t count in the German cup competition anyway.

On the bench?
That's excellent news!
Hope the lad gets some game time.

I know it's 'only' Reading but he definitely has something about him.

Re: Tresor
Very impressive.
We might never know whats gone on behind the scenes, but he will make a massive difference for us if he is now fit and available. He needs backing and a clean slate if Parker has determined the same. Excellent for 35 minutes and didn't waste the ball once.

Re: Tresor
Has a player ever looked as good but as disinterested in a cameo before hahaha, he did not care one bit then did he
Re: Tresor
I'm going to be honest I don't know what to make. He looked alive for the assist. And then for the majority just knocked it backwards or inside despite having lots of space to run into.
Hard to tell if his heart was in it or if he was just going through the motions. But if he's commited reckon there's a player in there.

He probably wondered why he was needed to finish off such a poor team.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 5:35 pmHas a player ever looked as good but as disinterested in a cameo before hahaha, he did not care one bit then did he
Got some minutes into players though so extra time wasn't too bad in the end.

Re: Tresor
I think when it got to 1-3 the entire team showed less ambition and was content to knock it about at the back and retain possession. Tresor was definitely keen when the game was there to be killed off, but then resorted to the same as the rest of the team in keeping it tidy afterwards. No issues from me.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 5:35 pmHas a player ever looked as good but as disinterested in a cameo before hahaha, he did not care one bit then did he

Re: Tresor
Not necessarily a negative, cantona used to play the game without looking all that interested.
Foster had the ball on the left and Tresor wasn’t running into the box he was just jogging. The 3rd goal, he plays the pass to humphreys and then makes no effort at all to get into the box hahaha he’s funny to watch m, clearly talented

Re: Tresor
Could be a ridiculous suggestion, but is it possible that his contract stipulates that he won’t play in the Championship - therefore encouraging the club to sell him in the event of relegation. The sale then not being feasible due to his illness/injury and the FA cup providing a loophole opportunity to give him some game time?
Re: Tresor
Looked really sharp to me and hopefully we can see some more of that in the league because he clearly has quality!

I think he was just spent 123, I noticed first 15 minutes he was running after everything. After that he looked like he could barely jog he was that shattered123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 5:40 pmNot necessarily a negative, cantona used to play the game without looking all that interested.

I’ve wondered all season if the issue is contractual.Rileybobs wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 5:41 pmCould be a ridiculous suggestion, but is it possible that his contract stipulates that he won’t play in the Championship - therefore encouraging the club to sell him in the event of relegation. My thought was he’s due some extra money if he plays another league game and the club are trying to negotiate that clause out of his contract before they’ll name him in the squad again.
Pure speculation, but he’s been too prominent in the club’s commercial and social media activities for it to be a strike on his part.

Talented player there, but again my opinion it won’t be for us.

Weren’t there rumours that he’d contracted some kind of parasitic disease? They can often result in long-term fatigue.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 5:46 pmI think he was just spent 123, I noticed first 15 minutes he was running after everything. Honestly I’ve lost track of it all. But Tresor certainly looked exhausted towards the end. I noticed after the game he was bent over hands on knees for some timeagreenwood wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 5:51 pmWeren’t there rumours that he’d contracted some kind of parasitic disease? Certainly don't see any other club wanting to take on an "unfit" player when they are paying at least an amount of his wagesGuller Bull wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 5:49 pmMy thoughts are that he needs to show that he’s fit before he gets his move.

Were you watching a different game ,he ran along the goal line for Flemmings first goal and flicked it over the defender for the 3rd goal he only went backwards once we were in front.

Re: Tresor
I thought he was excellent and everything we have been missing in the final 3rd this season. Ball control, pace, awareness - he has the lot. His assist for the second goal may have looked simple but how many times have we said that some of our other players lack an end product? It was there with this goal. Tresor’s speed and awareness along with Flemming’s movement was just too good for them. End product.
It just comes down to his attitude and whether he wants to play for Burnley. He could potentially be a massive player for us for the last 5 months.

Re: Tresor
I think this sums it up perfectly! His end product was WAY better than Koleosho, but clearly match fitness is going to be a problem moving forwards.Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 5:59 pmI thought he was excellent and everything we have been missing in the final 3rd this season. However, he could be a great option off the bench in the league, which I do appreciate is dependent on several factors such as, will he still be here at the end of January. Time will tell!
Re: Tresor
I'm not bothered about this looking disinterested etc. He could be one of those players who gives off a negative body language and then will spring into life as he did for the 2nd goal. McNeil/ Waddle never looked interested but both could play. Plus the instructions were to keep ball hence the ball retention instead of anything direct after the goals.
Let's take the positive, he's been spotted in a Burnley shirt and played a massive part in the goal. Credit to Bauress with the interchange with Mike.

Re: Tresor
The problem is we don't know the reason he's been unavailable for such a long time. We are basing our opinions on his fitness from players coming back from a normal injury. If his long lay off was not a normal injury, then looking how quickly he seemed to tire is perhaps more understandable. Especially considering he doesn't seem to have played in any U21 games.PremierLeagueClass wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 6:03 pmNot to that extent. Re: Tresor
That 2nd goal his assist is what we have been lacking.I feel like our current widemen have lacked that all season. It wasn’t an easy assist at all great vision to spot Flemings witheld run we crave for something like this. Very strange the going ons with him though was gobsmacked to see him.

If SP has him onboard, that’s absolutely great work by him.
Re: Tresor
He did a couple of nice things but he didn't run and with 20 mins left he gave up! Was standing motionless with hands on knees! His attitude stinks.
Re: Tresor
There were some ironic cheers at one point when he broke into a jog (a sprint was too much to hope for).
He certainly looked skillful with a good touch but he wouldn't be able to play like that against a decent championship team. Hopefully it's just a matter of match fitness

Re: Tresor
One positive about his lack of rate is that we have Brownhill who can and often does play narrow on that side and csn do the defensive work that Tresor won't. It would actually then give us more of a counter attacking threat having another player up the pitch.

Did what it says on his tin...effective and helped put the game to bed nicely.
Stand by for the predictable manic reactions though...zero to hero in 20 minutes.
Life's not really like that... we'll find out soon enough if he's robust enough to be a big part of our push.
