Slick trim. Gone for the Kosovan Mafia look.
Surprised McKenna is still alive really.

Could make it a good caption competition.

I think I’m still processing the sheer turnover of players in the summer window, but getting £10m for Muric was a great deal in hindsight.
Far too many mistakes to be a Prem keeper long-term.

The errors made by the so called top keepers are happening on a weekly basis ,Ramsdale and the prat at Old Trafford and his understudy in the Carabao cup ,never used to happen until tippy tappy Pep started it.FeedTheArf wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 5:22 pmI think I’m still processing the sheer turnover of players in the summer window, but getting £10m for Muric was a great deal in hindsight.

Pep being blamed for goalkeeping errors is a new one on me.
All keepers make big errors, some more regularly than others.

On the subject of prem keepers - Bart Verbruggen, who we lost out on to Brighton and instead ended up with Muric for, has done brilliantly at Brighton.

Before Pep I don’t think there were many times in a season where the goalkeepers were passing to the defenders in the penalty area.Darnhill Claret wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 10:41 pmPep being blamed for goalkeeping errors is a new one on me.

The Man Utd penalty this weekend was directly from a shocking pass from Verbruggen.ClaretOfMancunia wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 8:55 amOn the subject of prem keepers - Bart Verbruggen, who we lost out on to Brighton and instead ended up with Muric for, has done brilliantly at Brighton.

McKenna has done an incredible job taking Ipswich to the PL from League 1 without huge spend and, this season, making them a competitive team in most games. Would be outrageous if he were sacked.

Thought we got Trafford when we failed to get BV ?ClaretOfMancunia wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 8:55 amOn the subject of prem keepers - Bart Verbruggen, who we lost out on to Brighton and instead ended up with Muric for, has done brilliantly at Brighton.

Re: Muric’s happy
I think we also went for BV before we got Muric.
Didn't Muric have a random signing announcement video with Bart Simpson. It came across like the media team made it for BV then couldn't be bothered to make a new one for Muric
Re: Muric’s happy
That's correct, and shows how close we were to getting Bart
Re: Muric’s happy
Yes, deal was agreed. Couldn't get a work permit, as far as I am aware.

Re: Muric’s happy
It makes for a much more interesting game when everyone gathers around the centre circle waiting for the goalie to boot it. It may be a bit 50-50, but you aren't putting yourself under pressure in your own half only for one player to panic and hoof it up the pitch anyway. There's few players/teams capable of executing the playing out from the back effectively for the majority of the time that it's marvelled as tactical genius, more often it's boring football suicide.Stonehouse wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 9:20 amBefore Pep I don’t think there were many times in a season where the goalkeepers were passing to the defenders in the penalty area.

I was making reference to the nonsense rumours of Muric being linked to the Kosovan mafia on here last year. I meant alive in the truest sense.Stalbansclaret wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 12:02 pmMcKenna has done an incredible job taking Ipswich to the PL from League 1 without huge spend and, this season, making them a competitive team in most games. He has done a good job and I agree they’ve looked competitive in most games bar City. He has spent €150m though since promotion (plus loans like Enciso soon) to get 3 wins at this level.

Re: Muric’s happy
Muric like Trafford is at an age where he will continue to improve as a keeper.
All the signs are that James has more improvement in him, and I think that is probably the majority view.

Not happy today. He’s £20k down for a motoring offence.

How do they arrive at that figure for the offence. Surely it’s not based on your earnings.

Re: Muric’s happy
I live in Brighton and a close mate has been a fan all of his life. Have asked about him a few times giving that we were after him. He has been a mixed bag with promise but a few errors made along the way. Probably what you would expect from a young keeper.

Ah, my mistake. Hadn’t heard that at all. Big blow for them if it’s a longer term thing as pretty sure they’d want to move him on in summer as he’ll be a high earner.Swizzlestick wrote: ↑Wed Apr 02, 2025 10:13 pmHe is injured - shoulder problem which he possibly need surgery for.
