Re: TONIGHTS (TUE) FOOTY
We are playing well and even against 12 men as we were v Sunderland are a very good side.I can see us taking 6 points this week even if we have to wait till Monday to complete our games .We are going up UTC

Quote from Hutchy:
You are right, Stonehouse. We might be in a minority, but It was kind of sad seeing them like that tonight. Their owners have reduced them to an utter mess. No signings coming in. No backing for the manager and they picked up three or four more injuries too tonight. They can forget the top 6.

No it isn't kind of sad it is fkn marvellous. We don't like them and that's how it should be. They loved it when we were really struggling and guess what ? We are loving it now. Fk 'em.
Uncle jack pumped millions in and the venkys continue to do so, whereas we've done it the hard way without anyone artificially elevating us. Absolutely not one tiny amount of sympathy from me or any Claret I know.
Stop flogging a dead horse (no pun intended) on here Hutchy, if you're that bothered get yourself on the roverrrrrrs forum and you can join in with the self pity.
5 in a row at Ewood.

Re: TONIGHTS (TUE) FOOTY
I chose the Derby - Sunderland match to see what Sunderland would do compared to how they played against us.
Sunderland made just one change to the side that played us with Mayenda coming in for Roberts. Derby seem to have a lot of injuries particularly in defence playing Adams, who is normally a midfield player, in their back three. Sunderland looked well on top in the early part of the game and Mayenda got their goal, a fast break after a Derby attack broke down. However Derby started putting some attacks together and with better forwards would have equalised at least.
What is interesting is the comparison of the stats for Sunderland's attack from the two matches:
Burnley: Shots 14 /On target 3
Derby: Shots 8 /On target 3

If Plymouth isn't a must win, I don't know what is.

We'll struggle to even reach the play-off final if we're not beating Plymouth.

Re: TONIGHTS (TUE) FOOTY
Said it last week that the league is fodder below 5th.
The teams who go up will be the ones who make 6-24th look like exactly that. So far this season Leeds and Sunderland have picked up more points against poor sides than we have.
