Didn't even get into gear first half, strolling around in neutral scoring 5 goals, would expect to at least select a gear second half but no. Deffo Parker out.

Honestly. Absolutely dreadful. If we hadn't have scored those fortunate 5 in the first half then we are staring at another 0-0'er!

Gentleman’s agreement at half time to seal the deal for their striker?

Didn't help that Argyle looked like they belonged on Towneley.

If you wouldn't mind missing the first half from now until the end of the season that ought to see us over the line Pete.
Ta very much.

I think Flemming got a bit flustered in the 2nd
He should have had a hattrick but yeah... Panned out as I thought
Would have liked to see Barnes on but we really didn't need him.

I wouldn't mind another 18 poor second halves if we can have 18 more 5-0 1st halves

Sorry guys. That was my fault
I didn’t see any of the first half, but switched it on for the second.
I got to 60mins before realising the error of my ways and turning off, but unfortunately it was too late

Shame Foster didn't score as he's getting better and better and his confidence seems to be coming back. The lads got a little sloppy at times in the second half, understandable with a huge game to come.
A perfect night and a reward for a fabulous away support down there..

All the work done in the first half. Cruise control in the second to save ourselves for Leeds.

Almost always the case if you have a big lead at half time and you can’t blame them for taking it relatively easy in the second half. Just a shame that all the goals were down the other end and I was sat in row C so didn’t have the best view! Take nothing away from that first half performance. We were excellent. Does anyone know the last time we were 5-0 up at half time away from home in a league game?

Fleming might well have scored 4 or 5, with several lovely crosses to him-particularly the one from Foster. Like a number of good strikers he can appear to be having a quietish game then out of the blue scores

Credit to the players and management for last night’s performance, it was outstanding!
Scored some really good goals in a first half mauling against a poor Plymouth team and we looked really good overall.
Now comes the big one against dirty Weeds, and hopefully we can carry that same threat into this game. It will also be interesting to see how we fair in future home games against teams that sit back to defend for a 0-0 or 0-1 counter attack.

I've just fired this e-mail off to Alan Pace. I'll keep you informed
Dear Mr Pace
After extensive research I have concluded that there is a correlation between me missing portions of Burnley's games and Burnley scoring 5 goals.
I am happy to miss more 'half games' in the same way if it means the club will score 5 goals. My fee is double Mike Tresor's salary because he doesn't turn up for any of the game. I think this is entirely reasonable.
Yours
Claret Pete

I've mentioned this before but as I'm an old fart I'm allowed to repeat myself!
In the Bond era we had a particularly good home record and against Port Vale we were 6-0 up at half-time. We won 7-0 and left the ground disappointed!

I reckon Parker gave the lads a roasting at half time, "This isn't what we do lads, I'm disappointed in you! Get out there in the 2nd half and drop back into your rigid shape, don't attack and let's see if we can keep the run of nils going!"

I was thinking about that game at half time. We went 7-0 up after 50 minutes and we were singing ‘we want 10’. It was so disappointing that we declared at that point. I am convinced it was because the players felt sorry for Port Vale
