I’ve been considering selling my large collection of Burnley shirts, including signed Ings and Vokes Poppy Day match ones and other signed shirts. A Maradona signed Argentina replica, plus many more. Having seen the surprising value of what they’re now selling for. Is there someone recommended on this site, who would be the person to contact for getting an estimated value, before I sell them. I’ve no experience of selling items on E Bay, or other sites and advice of how to avoid being scammed, would be appreciated.

Our old sponsors, Classic Football Shirts, should give you a ball park figure of what you can get, based off what they charge. They will probably buy them off you if you want a quick easy sale, but you will get more money on an eBay auction.

A guy who used to drink in my local would stick items on at a ridiculous 'buy now' price. Then, under another account, sell the same items at a much lower price. It makes people think they're getting a bargain, and also more chance they'll buy without thinking twice. It's what high-street stores do with many of their so-called price reductions.

Not an original though, which to collectors is the important bit.
It’s not the same having a cheap copy.

Absolutely right.
Nothing wrong with buying a cheaper remake for yourself if you like the design but it's the age and authenticity of the original shirt that makes it desirable/valuable to serious collectors or dealers.
I have a 'club shop' copy of this particular shirt which I was more than happy to wear but luckily found an original 1990's Ribero one in a charity shop for a fiver last week, you can definitely tell the difference between the two versions.

Wow, what size was it out of interest? Was it in good condition?
That charity shop mustn’t have realised what it was worth

A generous large.
It's in excellent condition and to be honest I bought it with the intention of reselling (as I do a bit on eBay/vinted) but I'm seriously thinking of keeping it as the look and soft feel of it is superb

Last time I was over, I took 16 shirts to the bloke on Burnley market. some still in the bag, some with tags, and some worn. He offered me £20 for the lot. Saying they’re hard to sell. But he regularly posts on Facebook the same shirts I had, for £65-£85 each.

For my 40th just over a year ago, my parents hung all my of my Burnley shirts from my childhood on washing lines in the house. What amazes me is that they still fit me…I mean in 1992 I was nine. I often wear them to games now.

Hi John , the yellow one we played in against Stockport still fits me all these years later
