I'm hoptimistic that eventually the honourable gentleman will realise his earror and realise that it's just a misbunderstanding.

Bly - Newcastle made a comment about 'pulling a rabbit out of the hat', to which Grimsdale replied 'Callum O'Hare'.
Hares and rabbits are very similar, you see.

Shall we just move on eh?
Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
Armstrong is too old for our team, we need a younger version with some pace.

I watched a Leeds podcast and they were optimistic too because we have so many injuries atm. Do they not realise it's the same injuries from last sesason ffs???Guller Bull wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2025 2:35 pmAccording to this Leeds match preview - we have signed Whittaker!!

Think I watched that one earlier where they were saying we had a horrendous injury list coming into this game with the likes of Benson, Redmond Beyer.Ramsey etc all out. Like yeah but no but yeah but OK!burnley007 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2025 3:01 pmI watched a Leeds podcast and they were optimistic too because we have so many injuries atm. Not much news on Ayman Kari. AllezParis say that we offered 750k plus a 35% sell on fee which they see as probably the best that's on the table for PSG for the 19 year old. They reckon it's down to the player to decide whether he accepts the four and a half year contract or holds out for a signing on fee when he's out of contract in the summer.

Can’t remember which rag it was perhaps the Leeds equivalent to the Burnley Express, the eye catching headlines were the Burnley would have 1/2 a team missing tonight .burnley007 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2025 3:01 pmI watched a Leeds podcast and they were optimistic too because we have so many injuries atm. Just goes to show how much you can trust what you read in the papers. I find it incredible that people still buy newspapers.Stonehouse wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2025 4:16 pmCan’t remember which rag it was perhaps the Leeds equivalent to the Burnley Express, the eye catching headlines were the Burnley would have 1/2 a team missing tonight .

Newspapers only tell you yesterday’s news. In this digital age they are surely obsolete.burnley007 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2025 4:32 pmJust goes to show how much you can trust what you read in the papers. I find it incredible that people still buy newspapers.

And only yesterday he signed an extra years extension to his Villa contract
Leverkusen will have to pay a lot if they fancy him in the summer
Smart move from Villa

Funnily enough, Karen Fazackerley has just posted on Twitter that we’re in talks to sign him on loan.Hedontplayforyou wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2025 6:21 pmNot the one I was thinking of….rhymes with umbrella

Not the first time I've heard this, it would make sense as to why we pulled out of the Whittaker deal.agreenwood wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2025 7:22 pmFunnily enough, Karen Fazackerley has just posted on Twitter that we’re in talks to sign him on loan.

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
I’d be very surprised if he were willing to move back to the Championship at this point, but if Leverkusen sign Buendia &
McAtee, he’s only going one way in the pecking order.

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
Hard to see Parker going for a signing that likes to run down the wing and is right footed (rather than cutting inside). I’m trying hard not to get excited but if we pulled out of the Whittaker deal it must be because we expect something better.

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
Yes but he doesn’t rampage down it like Tella likes to. Parker likes them to tuck back in.
Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
No reason Tella can’t play through the middle. Can’t see this 1 happening though.

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
I can’t see it happening either but that would be the best signing we could make this window hands down. Capable of paying across the front, pace to burn, fan favourite and knows where the net is…..will it happen? Probably not but dare to dream.

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
Against the lesser teams playing tella in the brownhill role would be an option. I prefer tella more central or in the channels. I don't think he does his best stuff wide, more in-between the oppo CBs and fullbacks

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
Totally agree. I have never been one to jump on the tella bandwagon previously but he would be perfect for us right now. A big big morale boost, scores goals and very versatileHedontplayforyou wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2025 7:52 pmI can’t see it happening either but that would be the best signing we could make this window hands down. Whittaker situation starting to make sense.
Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
Free up some wages and send Sarmiento back. Surely your loans should be starters or at least impact off the bench, he does neither. Put the wages towards a first 11 player.

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
She's right, but we've been talking to Leverkusen and him all window.
He wants to come, the wages are affordable, but they want back what they paid for him. We want a loan with condition to buy if we go up, they want a loan with obligation full stop and that's the sticking point, was the last I got told.

He's been a big disappointment for me after a few half decent cameos at the start of the season.
