There’s rumours doing the rounds on social media that the club are looking to rebrand the club badge. I don’t know how to upload a picture, but the letter ‘B’ badge which is on those baseball caps appears to be etched into the grass near the dugouts at the Turf….
Make of that what you will.

I loved the Team of the Seventies BFC stitching and also the roundel BFC which succeeded it. Either of those would do for me!

I trust our American owners about as much as I’d trust Michael Jackson babysitting my kids, however I don’t think they are that daft to change the club badge without consulting the fans first

They have already changed our badge without consulting the fans

No, however times change. The change from the club badge to the town badge was done to commemorate something, can’t remember what, but it wasn’t suppose to be permanent. Only stuck with it because we got promoted that season and would appear confusing to potential new international audiences if we changed back (that’s what I heard anyway).
Any changes prior to that were done years ago when fan engagement wasn’t as easy as it is today.
Also there’s a difference between changing the badge from the town badge to the club badge which have both been used historically, to a B

The multiple coloured Burnley badge is class. AThe rest are downhill. A 'B' is an appalling g thought. More associated with a product - like a boot or something. Crap for a team representing a town.

I get the feeling they really want to get that B as our new badge, I don't like the font and I really hope they don't try and change it to that.

This version of the badge has always been a bit odd - it’s a shield… within a shield, which leaves loads of blank space.
Ideally, the shield would fill the badge and the text would be underneath. I suspect it’s the way it is as it’s cheaper to make them so the whole thing is within the badge.

You’d think that they’d put it the other way round, with the cameras being in the Longside. Perhaps it’s just for Alan’s benefit when viewing it from the Bob Lord.
Whatever the reason for it, it’s a crappy font.

I think they have been trying to remove the club badge as it should be for some tine and there were rumours that the hideous Pace 'B' cap logo could be used. They cannot do this without consultation but I believe they were somewhat economical with the truth when they spoke to the FA about changing the badge this year on the home shirt.

The only potential rebrand should be the ‘BFC’ in a circle badge and nothing else

I think the point is that if we have a letter B as our logo, it will be something that makes us stand out as being different from all the other clubs (apart of course from those few who also begin with B. (15 of them, at a quick count.)
Perhaps he will charge the club £125m for the branding so that he doesn't have to repay his loan?

It's not nonsense. American sports models work on the basis that the owners take money out of the club, and Pace has done that in spades. We're about £150m poorer than we would have been if Pace had never darkened our door.
Maybe other Americans would have been less rapacious. But this American has bled us almost dry. If we don't get promotion, we well and truly up the Swanee.

Someone sees the B logo that is already used on various merchandise and advertising appear pitch side and suddenly people surmise that it is going to be the new badge. My thoughts are it is just a logo that runs alongside the badge, not a replacement for it.
Not saying they won't change or modify the existing badge at some point but very much doubt it will be replaced by "B" (I hope)..

Seeing how much you think he's taking out of the club, you won't be buying anything from the club in order he could take more out?

Roughly speaking, £125m in loans, £20m in interest paid on loans used for Pace's own personal debts, and £5m on directors' fees.

Unless you have proof of that, I would suggest it's a libelous comment about his personal debt.. fancy withdrawing it?

you are always quick to jump to the prove it/libel approach even though it is easy to find out for yourself
the broad stokes of what DSR is saying is all in the accounts of Burnley FC Holdings since the arrival of Pace and Co - they may keep presenting it differently each time but it is there
and for reference dsr is just referring to a response I gave him on this thread a week ago
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=79590 - it doesn't calculate all the additional costs they have paced on the club because of this extraction/diverting of monies
Chester Perry wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 1:10 pm
It could be argued that ALK/VSL have taken out around £145m - £150m just to fund the takeover
£124.3m in direct loans (that they get interest free)
while the club has now paid probably £20m - £25m in interest to directly fund that loan to ALk/VSL and that is still ongoing at likely 12.7% a year (8% + SONIA appears to be the going rate on the club's loans)
we do not know how the club credit element of the share purchase agreement with the small shareholders has been funded
not forgetting that the club made repayments (including penalties) of around £34m )including penalties to MSD (balance reduction of £32.7m) and a suggested £6m (according to MtB 1) to the unknown lender that replaces MSD that actually left us with a greater debt to that lender in April/May 2023 than we had to MSD at the beginning of Nov 2022. There were player sales around the time of the early repayments to MSD and it is reasonable to assume that the monies earned (including the factoring of future inward fee payments) enabled at least some of the repayments - factoring comes at an additional interest cost. we do not have the information to apportion that cost to the loan servicing comments the club had been obliged with.
The November 2022 loan (£39.7m) was replaced by a much larger loan (£70m) in June 2023 with Macquarie. We do not know if there was a penalty clause for early redemption. We do know that the additional monies were to fund football activities as well, that allowed ALK/VSL to hide the cost of their own true cost of borrowing from the club. In Jan 2024 that Macquarie loan was replaced with a new (possibly larger loan - there may have been penalty payments for early redemption with Macquarie - they are not known as the Vampire Kangaroo for nothing) by MGG via Luxembourg.
So we are left with no knowledge of the true balance and interest cost to support it of the monies the club was made responsible for so that ALK/VSL could acquire it. This is likely to be the situation in perpetuity now. Though we can reasonably suggest the balance ranges being between £33m and £45m depending on the truth of MtB1 and the size of penalty clauses (if applied) and around £4.2m to £5.7m in annual interest costs to service it at the assumed rate.

Don’t mind the B personally providing it’s not going to replace the crest.
Would like to see better use of all of our crest designs across the club and merchandise. They’re all part of our history.

All these companies are controlled by the said serial criminal and even the club's own website has long acknowledged that he personally has the controlling shareholdings of these entities.
When you look at the the way the Jersey entities are structure - details I have previously shared on the takeover thread - the more partners that are brough on board the greater the stranglehold on control he has

that it what I took from what you said. While, all these companies he controls are of a limited liability type meaning that they can fail with little personal financial consequence, it doesn't mean that the debt and costs are not real and were not made for his (and his partners) personal gain
