Only reason we have conceded so few goals is because of how Parker sets us up.

In terms of Esteves value this will have little to no effect.

I would actually argue if we were in more open and expansive team where Esteve could develop his passing range that would actually increase his value more.
You really are absolutely clueless

So by you're reckoning if Parker set up and played Delcroix & one of the u21 defenders at CH there'd still only be 9 league goals conceded this season?

We need to act in the same way as Palace did with Guehi following Newcastle's interest. Newcastle kept coming back and I think Palace kept saying its £65m plus, or you can go away. I think keeping Esteve will elevate his value and protect the player. If we got promotion then yes we could consider a fee of circa £40m or more. What we dont want is Esteve going at the last part of the window preventing us being able to spend the money on our own additions

Absolutely agree.

If we keep Parker and get rid of Esteve, Pace can do one for me.
You have a very jaundiced view about nearly everything to do with our club.

We might get to test this theory next season if we don't get promoted as it's highly likely neither CJ or Esteve will still be here!

He must reckon Parker is the only manager to set a team up in this way.

The keeper for example has a 10 goal difference to Meslier, if we had him, we would be mid table.

Loan with obligation, to what end? Is this to get around FFP/PSR or due to cash flow? It seems an endless strategy with us at the moment.

007 is allowed to call our players, manager, and other posters on this board all the names under the sun, but if anyone dares point out how pathetic he is, he cries about bullying and name-calling.

Isn’t because transfers attract some form of tax that loans don’t, so it’s effectively a tax efficiency strategy?

Possibly, but some may be pushing future fees down the road a bit longer to comply with PSR

Feels like it's come back to bite us a bit season with the Tresor deal. It seems like we spent most of our budget on him (and Esteve) after relegation.

Hansen seems to have some potential. He certainly has enough about him to be aware of his options, and look to pass to others better positioned. Knows where the net is and can go past players. His first touch needs to improve but that can be worked on. I would say he has enough to break into the first team squad, and to increase his monetary value significantly.

I watched something the other week and it was all about transfers, the gist was loans with options/obligations would be more of the norm for most clubs now

From what I can tell it’s to just help with cash flow in the short term.

But everyone seems to be doing it so no idea if this is true or not

Just going over this post, you do seem to be the sort of person who could start an argument in an empty room. Your constant arguments, I assume you always tell yourself it's the other person's fault? Maybe it's time for you to spend some time away from people and do some self-reflecting.
Just a thought, always here to help.
