Sky Championship ToY so far

Post by Tricky Trevor » Wed Feb 05, 2025 10:07 pm

David Prutton helped choose this XI on podcast. Wilder as manager.
How all 3 of the holy trinity didn’t make it I’ll never know.
Haven’t seen enough of the rest of them to comment.

Trying to not get annoyed by them putting the centre backs the wrong way round

Seems to have good numbers Azaz but never been impressed by him when I've watched them

Trafford has to be the GK but like what I've seen of Johannson including back to his Rotherham days

Would be a decent replacement for JT if/when he moves on

Agree with this.

Also, Doak should be nowhere near that team. Should be Dan James.

Maja was good for about 8 games at the start of the season.

Johansson is good but nowhere near Traff.

Johansson has faced the most shots in the entire league so he has more ‘chances’ at preventing goals, if you will. Trafford is simply an all round better keeper and 21 clean sheets means he HAS to be in this.

Maja is a bizarre one to be honest, purple patch at the start then nothing. Having said that there aren’t really any stand out strikers this season.

That’s highlighted in the OPTA article that’s been linked in the “Cementing the cracks” thread. Johansson has prevented the most goals if you measure xGOT - Goals Conceded, but he has also faced a lot more shots. When you normalise this to account for the difference in volume, Trafford comes out on top.
