what a game this is
Re: Today's games 08/07
Proper old school cup tie this. Great atmosphere, both teams going for it, no VAR, great stuff.
Re: Today's games 08/07
One of the best goals I’ve seen for sometime, brilliant.

Pope has definitely improved his footwork.
But maybe he could have done better for the goal…? (Only joking)

Some old school tackles going in in this game!
Re: Today's games 08/07
The goal by Iwata is the most aesthetically pleasing smasheroony goal I have seen since Robbie Blake's against Man U.

Made a great save for Newcatle's first goal though
Still baffled how the liner can say that's in

Embarrassing.
As for the goal you reference, if he isn't stood at least two yards behind his line it wouldn't have been an issue.

I just saw Grant Hanley! Before the watershed?!
I didn't realise he'd signed for Birmingham.

Chelsea out, lost 2-1 to Brighton.
Re: Today's games 08/07
But he had a nice Michael mcintyre haircut, which is a welcome change from the "baldrick" favoured by footballers atm.
Re: Today's games 08/07
Anyone else think Newcastle's second goal would have been ruled out by VAR? Would have been really harsh, but Willock comes back from an offside position and stops the defender getting to Wilson's shot.
