Prefer to think of it as 1914 all over again tbh.

This is 111 years ago and the number 111 is a sign of good fortune and often can be a reference to big achievements.

Aye, she must have been shocked when the board spent the " Dry-powder " money on roofing the Longside in 1954 ...

Mrs Clarets4me's mum, now 85, remembers the team coming back on the bus after losing the 1947 final to Charlton, she grew up on Albion Street, below the railway line, which adjoined Trafalgar Street. The bottom section below the Railway was demolished, to make way for the flats, which in turn got flattened to be redeveloped. It was roughly where the far end of Bevington Close is now ...

Was only talking about that old area (pre trafalgar flats) today with my mate. I remember the bus journey as a young lad: the route from Cog Lane via Coal Clough Lane & Sandygate in to town)
