Nowt to ref really.
Liked his whistle a bit too much, which is a shame from someone who spent 10 years as a semi-pro.
Got Traff out of a sticky situation.
Clearly knows his path to the Prem full time!

I doubt he’ll have an easier game to ref in his career!?

Thought they were a shade lucky to get away with only one yellow card but other than that he made a refreshing change.

Full marks from me. Let the game flow and unusually, didn't make the game all about him.
Quiet authority and used his cards at the right time.

He had a very good game. Maybe could have issued another couple of yellows but I’d be picking - you can actually tell he’s played the game to a decent level

A couple of challenges were bad and deserving of a yellow. One advantage should have been continued. He was calm and ran the game well. He was one of the better referees.

Very good indeed, albeit there was nothing controversial to deal with, and it was obvious that he’d actually played the game before, the main failing of 98% of referees.

A good game but missed the stonewall penalty when mom Anthony was barged over

I doubt many people would describe it as stonewall. Would have been a really soft one for me.

Did well. I thought we should have had a penalty, but I didn't have a clear enough view to be fully certain.

I thought his decision making was poor in that if a player fell over, he decided it was a free kick.

Yep...but tbh I'd far prefer penalties were given when the ref "knows" rather than "suspects" an offence has taken place.

Agreed, although a referee apparently 'knew' an offence did not take place with the handball at Pompey when he pointed to his chest afterwards, so I don't know if I trust what they do or do not know
