Bavarians vs plastic paddy’s
Tonight is one of the rare occasions where I’m hoping Mr Kompanys team is on fire and smashes Celtic for at least 6.
Re: Bavarians vs plastic paddy’s
Celtic are carving them apart, they should be at least 2-0 up.

Bayerns defence is awful. Just Aswell they are playing a very weak side.

Ooooops.
Bayern have been woeful though. Reminds me of Us last year in the premier league. Making the same stupid errors out of defence

Had to turn it down, Shearer’s shouting none stop in his Geordie whine just grated.

Canadian Alphonso Davies gets the winner
Apparently he recently signed a new long term deal with Bayern, speculation was he'd be going to Real Madrid in the summer window.

Celtic aren't a weak side, and they played excellently. Personally was hoping for the opposite that you were!
Didn't used to like celtic till I moved to Scotland, and rangers fans are absolutely abhorrent. So I naturally swayed to celtic.
Re: Bavarians vs plastic paddy’s
Thank god for that. Can't stand Celtic, their fans or their apparent beliefs

Love it when the Scottish teams get beat, especially the national side. They hate us.

Yes, for the last 50 years I used to support UK sides in any competition or championships, but the Scots, particularly Celtic fans, have finally worn me down, at the age of 61 !!

Not fond of either TBH but the Scottie Arfield connection tipped me towards the blue side of Glasgow.

There's no place for it in football, however I'm more sympathetic to their views, being BritishGoalkeeper wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 8:26 amIn the interests of fairness, do you like Rangers fans and their apparent beliefs?

An awful club, second only to that lot down the road and run a close third by Liverpool.

Re: Bavarians vs plastic paddy’s
Coincidentally I'm in central Glasgow this week and have been since Monday. Got chatting to some old Rangers season ticket holders in the pub (probably 60 yrs+) the other night and they were nice guys tbf and knew their football, both English and Scottish. They were extremely gushing about Scotty.
Re: Bavarians vs plastic paddy’s
I always supported British teams until I watched the Euros final on holiday with a load of Jocks who were supporting Spain. I will take great pleasure in them getting beat from now onClarets4me wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 1:51 amYes, for the last 50 years I used to support UK sides in any competition or championships, but the Scots, particularly Celtic fans, have finally worn me down, at the age of 61 !!

Re: Bavarians vs plastic paddy’s
The Rangers fans and a Hibs season ticket holder I was chatting with were saying most genuine Scottish football fans would love an integration with the English leagues. It's the only way to make the football more competitive and to raise the overall standard whilst also generating more interest and bigger gates and cash. A pipe dream maybe, but a very popular one amongst the real fans up here it seems.
Re: Bavarians vs plastic paddy’s
There is a massive gulf between the fan numbers at virtually all the Scottish clubs and top English clubs. The TV money is putrid. This means that players will look elsewhere for a living. Only the 2 Glasgow Old Firm are exceptions. They do well despite the lack of funding to compare with Prem clubs.Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 11:00 amThe Rangers fans and a Hibs season ticket holder I was chatting with were saying most genuine Scottish football fans would love an integration with the English leagues. Celtic played well Rangers and their Euro final, did well.
Leaving aside the politics, those 2 clubs would both hold their own and in time be part of the elite. Their fan bases are beyond your imagination.
As for integration? Independence will end that thought.
