It is pleasing to see that the renovation of The Keirby by Hilton Hotels is nearing completion ahead of schedule.

In a new initiative the club is about to introduce the Suicide Seat' as part of creating media interest.

It's available for away fans who can enter a draw to 'win' the seat which means the return of their ticket price and a complimentary Bovril on their next visit.

The catch is that the 'lucky' seat involves the occupant has to wear a bungee cord around their neck which is in attached to the undercroft of the CFS roof. If a goal is scored in the 90th minute then the mechanism triggers and the patron is ejected upwards into the rafters.

Initial tests resulted in mannequins being decapitated before the launch commenced.

A Match Day Steward is pictured at half time on Friday publicising this novel idea.

Good to see the pubs on Yorkshire Street doing brisk business on a match day.

The Miners was packed from 6:00pm and The Bridge was very busy afterwards.

Bridge was actually extremely busy before (from pretty early on) as well as after tbf. I thought I even saw Simon smiling, but turned out it was just wind!!
