Co-op Arena parking
I've got an event at the Co-op on Tuesday night but I don't want to get stuck in the queues in the official car park- not to mention paying £25.
Anyone got any local knowledge please?

Park at Ashton Moss ( free parking )and get the tram in. It's around a 15 minute transfer but will take you less time to get away Co-op Live than if you were to use their car park

On the same line too but a couple of minutes further out and if you have the Your Parking Space app, pre pay for a space at either The Village Hotel or theres a Sainsbury's too which will cost you no more then 3 or 4 quid to park

We went last night and I parked on the following which was about a 5 min walk from the arena. Obviously it wasn't free but we were back home in Burnley within 1 hour of the gig finishing. I'll definitely be using it again. Again on the YourParking Space app

Re: Co-op Arena parking
We’ve used Ashton Moss several times for the Etihad. Plenty of space usually. The only issue is the return journey. It’s on the road and gets caught in traffic after football. But a good place to park.THEWELLERNUT70 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 10:49 amPark at Ashton Moss ( free parking )and get the tram in. There is also some free parking at the next tram stop too - Ashton West. Tram cost is £3.10 per person so if you have a car full it might be beneficial parking within walking distance and paying.

Just something else too, if you use The Village Hotel car park you can use the hotel bar too for a pre gig pintTHEWELLERNUT70 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 10:52 amOn the same line too but a couple of minutes further out and if you have the Your Parking Space app, pre pay for a space at either The Village Hotel or theres a Sainsbury's too which will cost you no more then 3 or 4 quid to park

Premier Parking is a five minute walk away from Co-op Live. Cost about £15

Re: Co-op Arena parking
I parked on the street about a mile away, walking back towards the city centre. Weybridge Rd.

Re: Co-op Arena parking
I went to Etihad a few times watching Clarets, with my mate, a long standing City season ticket holder. We parked adjacent to Clayton Vale Metrolink station, which is a 10 min walk. Also parked there a couple of years ago at Coldplay gig at Etihad, which is adjacent to Co op arena. Hope this helps.

If you don’t mind a walk of just over a mile, park at Hollinwood metrolink park and ride just off the M60 then tram to Monsall.

Re: Co-op Arena parking
Just for reference, I'm not sure how many trams pass through after a gig but the stairs down to both lines were queued up and back to the exits when we left last night

Re: Co-op Arena parking
We went last night and parked at the back of Main Road chippy on Ashton New Road directly opposite the Etihad Stadium. It was £15.00 for parking.
We had no problem getting away as we left at the beginning of the encore.

Clayton Vale MTB: Google it.
There’s about 15 spaces, and it’s a nice little leg stretch (can’t get lost) to the Velodrome/Etihad/Co-op.
Best of all it’s FREE and you’ll get away no problem.

Re: Co-op Arena parking
We always park on Travis Street(M1 2PG) car park. Near Piccadilly Station and a 20 minute walk along the Etihad walk route. Route well marshalled and car park cheap.

Re: Co-op Arena parking
Not sure that exonerates you on here!

Re: Co-op Arena parking
Not sure if it’s been mentioned but all the on street parking around the cemetery, which was previously free and around a 10 min walk from the Etihad, is now all permit holders/limited time allowance. There’s always loads of wardens knocking about now the arena is in full flow. Plenty walk up and down the main road and take photos of vehicles even pulling up just to let people jump out.
Having been there about 8 times since it opened, I’d recommend driving up Briscoe Lane, which isn’t far from the ground, and parking in one of the units on the left hand side. George Jones & Son offer spaces at £10 cash and £12/£15 on card. Bloke there is really friendly and they lock the gates once full. He stays in his car just outside in the unlikely event that you leave early and will open the gates to leave. On leaving you can head towards Failsworth and it’s an easy route back to the motorway.
